About the role

You will operate at the heart of our organization, leading the budgeting, forecasting, and actual analysis for our marketing activity.

  • Manage marketing and operating reporting internally to management
  • Perform comprehensive analysis across marketing and user acquisition funnel, including paid media by channel, free trial conversions, LTV, and other KPIs
  • Guide data, process and application improvements aimed at enhancing quality and availability of marketing and performance information
  • Support the annual budget setting and monthly forecasting processes, including monthly reviews
  • Prepare presentations to communicate budgets, forecasts and important projects
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team on budget management and performance analysis
  • Partner with Accounting on actual close process and P&L analysis
  • Develop KPI's, metrics, and dashboard reports
  • Work with other groups and spearhead any initiatives that you believe will move the needle

As the Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis you will report to the Senior Director, Financial Planning and Analysis. For this role we are considering candidates in the Los Angelas area.

About You

We are looking for a strategic Senior Financial Analyst to support our Marketing and Operations teams with critical financial modeling, performance analysis. You will drive planning, and data-driven decision-making across our subscription-based marketing funnels. From analyzing performance and preparing budgets to KPI development and presentations, you'll be at the center of how we understand and improve our marketing investments. This position is ideal for someone with a foundation in FP&A, deep experience in media or subscription-based businesses, and experience with turning data into actionable insights that power growth.

  • 5+ years of experience in analytical environments (e.g. FP&A, Accounting, Strategic Planning, Investment Banking, Consulting)
  • Understanding of marketing, paid media, and user acquisition cycles
  • Understanding of subscription economics ARPU, LTV, CAC, cost per asset, organic, payback, paid media incrementality, penetration, TAM, churn
  • Proficiency in Excel and the ability to perform complex financial modeling
  • Experience presenting to a non-finance audience
  • Experience using NetSuite, Adaptive, or other enterprise software.
  • Knowledge of dashboard software such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
  • Prior experience at a media/entertainment/tech company
  • Anime Fan a plus!
About the Team

Crunchyroll's Finance Organization consists of Financial Planning & Analysis, Accounting, and Business Intelligence team members based across multiple global locations. The FP&A team is seeking a high-visibility Senior Analyst who will play a critical role in providing data-driven analysis to help define Crunchyroll's long-range plans as it relates to its marketing activity including paid media campaigns, partnerships and events.

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees.
