Crunchyroll's Finance Organization consists of Financial Planning & Analysis, Accounting, and Business Intelligence team members based across multiple global locations. The FP&A team is looking for a high-visibility Senior Analyst who will help provide data-driven analysis to help define Crunchyroll's long-range plans as it relates to its content acquisition costs.
You will operate at the heart of our organization, leading the budgeting, forecasting, and actual analysis for our content slate.
A day in the life of our FP&A Senior Analyst, Content:
You will handle the monthly analysis of actual performance, working with accounting and business intelligence to consolidate and interpret financial information. You will need to produce ad hoc analysis, and help improve efficiency and improvement across Finance and Accounting.
- Perform in-depth analysis bringing together licensing, financial, and viewership data attributes to form data-driven conclusions on content cost performance
- Develop frameworks for content cost sensitivity analysis based on relative licensing dynamics including viewership, minimum guarantees and cost per episode.
- Maintain long-term company financial models to inform strategy and capital allocation for our content acquisition organization
- Build relationships with content acquisition leaders to perform financial deal analysis for licensed content, co-productions, catalog and renewals
- Support content acquisition pipeline and summarize data into clear, and informative materials for senior executives
- Design, implement, and improve processes related to budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting in our high-growth business
- Perform actuals to budget variance analysis and collaborate with Accounting team to ensure integrity of financial reporting
- Collaborate with data and engineering teams to create systems that provide insights for areas of optimization or improvement
- Assist teams with ad hoc projects relating to our content slate and its aligned goals
As the Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis – Content you will report to the Senior Manager, FP&A. For this role we are considering candidates in the Los Angelas area.
About YouAs our FP&A Senior Analyst, Content you will lead the delivery of accurate, and insightful performance analysis of Crunchyroll's content pipeline. You will put together the global picture and implementing best practice, working with stakeholders across multiple global teams to understand the context behind the numbers and embed consistent reporting and process.
- 5+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Strategic Planning, Investment Banking or Consulting
- Advanced financial modeling skills, with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Comfortable with managing large volumes of data and summarizing into insightful executive information with understanding of content licensing and acquisition
- Experience using NetSuite, Adaptive, or other enterprise software.
- Experience presenting to a non-finance audience
- Experience distilling financial analyses for leadership teams, with the ability to work well across different levels of an organization
- Prior experience at a media/entertainment/tech company
- Anime Fan a plus!
