This is a remote position and can be based anywhere in the United States.

What You’ll Do/Responsibilities

As a Senior AI Engineer, you’ll design, optimize, and deploy AI-powered conversational and workflow systems that drive personalization, context-awareness, and efficiency for our creator-facing products. You’ll work closely with product, engineering, and data science teams to ensure our agentic AI experiences are not only intelligent but deeply relevant and engaging.

  • Build, evaluate, and refine agentic AI systems for high-quality chat interactions and workflow automation.
  • Develop robust evaluation frameworks to measure performance, accuracy, and user satisfaction.
  • Improve the relevance and persistence of conversation memories and contextual grounding.
  • Enhance prompts and orchestration logic to improve task completion, personalization, and overall system reliability.
  • Experiment with model fine-tuning and domain adaptation when beneficial to user experience.
  • Leverage tools such as LangGraph, FalkorDB, and PGVector to manage context and optimize retrieval pipelines.
  • Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other engineers to align AI capabilities with business goals.

Who You Are/Required Qualifications

  • 5 years software development experience with at least 1 year of building LLM-focused consumer or enterprise SaaS applications, including designing and optimizing LLM interactions and evaluation workflows.
  • Proficiency with Python and modern AI frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, or similar orchestration tools).
  • Experience with vector databases (e.g., FalkorDB, PGVector, Pinecone, Weaviate) and retrieval-augmented generation.
  • Knowledge of embedding models, retrieval strategies, and context-window optimization.
  • Familiarity with model training, fine-tuning, and evaluation methodologies.
  • Understanding of graph databases and their role in storing and retrieving structured knowledge.
  • Ability to collaborate in cross-functional, fast-paced environments.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in Los Angeles. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current pay range is: $190k-$210k salary per year. The range listed is just one component of Spotter’s total compensation package for employees.
