The Role
We’re seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to join our lean, high-performing Finance team. This role is ideal for someone with Big 4 (or similar) training who’s transitioned into industry and wants to make a meaningful impact at a fast-growing, high-complexity startup. You’ll work cross-functionally with leaders across accounting, FP&A, operations, and executive leadership, with exposure to a broad range of financial and strategic initiatives.
This position is based in our brand-new NYC office on a hybrid basis.
Core Responsibilities
Own month-end and quarter-end close processes across multiple entities
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and consolidated financials
Lead process improvements and help implement scalable systems as we grow
Partner with internal teams (including FP&A and People Ops) on reporting and compliance
Support audits, tax filings, and other external reporting requirements
Help shape accounting operations and internal controls across a complex entity structure
Collaborate cross-functionally with team members
Report directly to our VP of Finance
What We Value (Qualifications)
7+ years of accounting experience, including time at a Big 4 or top-tier firm (BDO, Grant Thornton, etc.)
CPA certification
Industry experience in addition to public accounting
Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial reporting skills
Excellent communicator who can collaborate across departments in a flat, fast-moving org
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience in healthcare, insurance, or other regulated industries
Familiarity with multi-entity consolidation
FP&A or finance operations exposure
The salary range for this job opportunity is $120,000 to $200,000 per year, which is the amount Angle Health anticipates paying for this position at the time of this job posting. The actual base salary offered may differ and will depend on various factors such as geographic location, skills, qualifications, and experience, as well as internal equity.
