About the Role

As a Senior Accounting Manager, you will be responsible to accurately perform accounting, audit, and review functions for various early-stage startups in different industries. You will be a liaison between a portfolio of clients and outside agencies. You will help to lead a team of staff accountants and will work closely with a cross-functional team of experienced accounting pros to ensure all client requirements are successfully met.

Success in this role requires a thorough understanding of accounting, business management acumen, experience with startups, excellent execution skills, ability to multitask, and strong communication skills. Competitive pay with room for growth.

Responsibilities
  • Review monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports for multiple clients to ensure accuracy and completeness

  • Oversee staff of accounting managers and associates

  • Participate in growing financial review and audit practice

  • Record and manage client's payroll, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, etc.

  • Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested

  • Adhere to proper accounting methods, policies, and principles

  • Stay informed and current with bookkeeping, tax filing, HR standards, and other related government regulations

  • Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements

  • Track billable hours between different clients

  • Manage submitting, approving, and tracking of maintenance projects

  • Organizing documents online in Google Drive & internal Fondo App

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Concentration in Accounting or Finance preferred

  • CPA with attest authority

  • 5+ years experience working in accounting and/or auditing and completing financial reviews

  • Strong knowledge of accounting theory, principles, and practices

  • Proficient skills in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel

  • Experience managing multiple clients' financials

  • Ability to describe accounting systems and processes in written correspondence and in procedure manual format

  • Knowledge of research techniques to analyze data and make recommendations

  • Knowledge of computer information systems to present financial information

  • Ability to prepare statistical reports and analyze financial reports

  • Flexibility and the ability to manage ambiguity and create processes and clarity

  • Competitive Salary: Earn between $90,000-$120,000 annually, based on your experience, qualifications, and location.
