The Senior Accountant will be a cross-functional role supporting the broader Finance & Accounting function, as well as working directly with the operations and delivery teams. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong accounting and systems experience that can work effectively with individuals across the various levels of the organization.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Month End Close – prepare and post journal entries to ensure financial records are properly stated in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); calculate, monitor, and adjust cost accruals; post and review services revenue; prepare reports to analyze and validate service revenue/cost; prepare monthly account reconciliations; other month-end responsibilities as assigned
- Analysis and Support – validate and take action on unbilled/deferred revenue balances; partner with other members of accounting and operations to resolve billing/invoicing issues
- Ad Hoc Projects – work with broader accounting and finance function to assist other processes as needed; perform and develop ad-hoc analysis and reporting to inform business decisions; participate in and drive process improvements; assist with external audit requests
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
- Minimum Required – 3 years relevant experience
- Preferred – Undergraduate degree in Accounting, experience using ERP systems, advanced Excel skills
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Knowledge of and experience with financial reporting systems; preferably SalesForce and NetSuite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in hands on capacity
- Excellent time management, scheduling, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to foster a positive environment while promoting a high standard of work product within a team
- Ability to work independently and resolve challenges, escalating key issues to leadership as necessary
The compensation range indicated in this posting reflects the On-Target Earnings (“OTE”) for this role, which includes a base salary and any applicable target bonus amount. This OTE range may vary based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
