• Manage accounting for a portfolio of early-stage, venture-backed startups

• Review, challenge, and continuously improve work from offshore bookkeepers and automation tools

• Act as the main accounting contact for your clients - helping founders understand their numbers and make smarter decisions

• Work side-by-side with our Head of Accounting to design scalable systems and processes that connect accounting with tax

• Standardize and document workflows - from onboarding through month-end close

• Partner with our internal team and engineers to spot automation opportunities and improve how we deliver client work

• As an early member of the accounting team, help shape how we build and scale our accounting offering

• 4–6+ years of accounting experience, ideally working with startups or in a fast-moving environment

• Strong accounting foundation - comfortable reviewing or jumping into bookkeeping work when needed

• Experience managing offshore teams or automation-assisted workflows

• Excellent communicator - organized, proactive, and great at keeping clients informed

• Process-minded and tech-forward - you enjoy building systems, documenting workflows, and finding ways to work smarter

• Proficient in tools like QBO, Puzzle, and Google Sheets; experience with automation tools is a plus

• CPA preferred but not required

• Remote role - ideally based in or around Vancouver, BC for occasional coworking days
