THE TEAM
Ticketmaster is a division of Live Nation Entertainment. The Ticketmaster North America Accounting group is responsible for all aspects of preparing accounting entries, reconciling general ledger accounts and reporting on the balance sheet in support of the Live Nation financial reporting process. The North America Accounting group is also responsible for coordinating and supporting internal and external audits related to the Ticketmaster North America division of Live Nation.
THE JOB
We are seeking a Senior Accountant for the Capitalized Software/Fixed Assets team. The role will primarily be responsible for preparing journal entries and general ledger reconciliations related to internal software development and fixed assets. Our ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter, highly organized and is proficient in Microsoft Excel and other enterprise level accounting software (i.e., Oracle Financials and/or SAP). This position is primarily work from home with occasional onsite meetings in our Beverly Hills, California office. The ideal candidate would be located within a commutable distance to Beverly Hills.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Review and manage the accounting for capitalized software development project assets in multiple currencies, including tracking accounting entries from inception of a development project through to placing the asset in service.
- Prepare monthly internal labor and external consulting schedules related to software development projects, ensuring that employee and consultant capitalized costs are posted accurately and timely.
- Prepare monthly journal entries for the monthly financial close process, including accruals and depreciation expense.
- Prepare monthly general ledger reconciliations for CIP and Fixed Asset accounts including tie outs to subledger.
- Work with internal stakeholders from accounting, finance and operations to resolve financial inquiries or issues that arise.
- Prepare schedules in support of internal and external audits including quarterly and annual SOX and financial audits.
- Prepare ad hoc schedules and participate in special projects as requested by management.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 7+ years of professional accounting experience in a comparable role.
- Experience with capitalized software development and fixed asset accounting, preferred
- Experience with Oracle Financials ERP systems including working knowledge of Oracle Projects & Fixed Assets modules, preferred.
- Strong Excel skills including use of Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP formulas.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to work overtime to meet financial reporting deadlines as needed.

The expected compensation for this position is:
$80,000.00 USD - $100,000.00 USD** Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
