Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Pasadena, CA (Hybrid – 1 Day in Office)
Industry: Non-Profit Organization
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary:
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing the day-to-day accounting operations and supporting the month-end close process. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about mission-driven work and thrives in a collaborative environment. This is a hybrid role, requiring one day per week in our Pasadena office.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain general ledger and ensure accurate and timely month-end close
Prepare financial statements and internal reports for leadership and grant compliance
Manage and reconcile bank and investment accounts
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies
Support annual audit and preparation of 990 tax filings
Track and report on restricted funds and grant allocations
Review and approve journal entries, AP/AR, and payroll-related transactions
Partner with program and development teams to provide financial insights
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum of 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience; non-profit experience highly preferred
Strong understanding of GAAP and fund accounting
Experience with accounting software
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
CPA or CPA candidate a plus
Schedule & Benefits:
