Senior Accountants play a key role in the support and service of our clients while having the opportunity to work collaboratively and broaden their technical skills.

A Senior Accountant works directly with a Management Company Controller to support the accounting and operations functions of a portfolio of Aduro clients. Ideal candidates are self-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills. As a member of the Aduro Advisors team, this individual must be able to grow positive, collaborative relationships with clients and colleagues while working independently at home.

Here is the type of work you will do:

  • Clearly communicate issues and escalations to Accounting Manager or Controller as required

  • Work independently processing invoices, expense reports, basic payroll and benefits, intercompany transactions, financial reporting and reconciliations.

  • Setting up recurring training sessions and follow up with the Staff Accountant. Provide supporting process documentation and technical support when needed.

  • Review of all Staff Accountant work.

  • Team meetings and 1:1 meetings to check in and help support the Staff Accountant.

  • First point of contact for the Staff Accountants, answering questions, run trainings, facilitate client interaction, technical training.

  • Review new vendor setup

  • Final review and approval of expense reporting. Review for intercompany expenses

  • Accurately coding and reconciling all banking transactions in accordance with US GAAP

  • Other responsibilities and actions as required and needed by the team

The salary range for the Senior Accountant position is $62,000 - $81,000. Salary is determined based on current market data and candidate experience level.

You may be successful in this role if:

  • 2 – 4 years of experience in an accounting role – experience with accounts payable and payroll preferred

  • Proficient in accounting systems such as Xero or Quickbooks

  • Comfortable with software systems including Gsuite, Microsoft Office, Box, Slack

  • Must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and comfortable working remotely

  • Must be detail-oriented, service-focused, thoughtful, and excellent at both written and verbal communication
