About Brale

Brale is the infrastructure layer behind programmable money. We help fintechs and platforms launch and run compliant stablecoin programs fast, multi-chain, and enterprise-ready. We’re building the trusted foundation for how businesses move, store, and use digital dollars at scale.

The Opportunity

Brale is bringing accounting in-house. This is an opportunity to make that a smooth process that sets us up future success. As our Senior Accountant, you'll own the day-to-day financial operations that keep the business running: cash visibility, billing and collections, vendor payments, and the close process.

This is a build role, you're not maintaining a mature function, you're standing one up internally and creating the foundation Finance needs to scale.

Your Mission
  • Own daily banking and cash management; code transactions, investigate discrepancies, and keep an accurate, current picture of company cash

  • Manage accounts receivable, enterprise invoicing and billing including setting up new customer subscriptions, maintaining billing records, tracking payment status, and resolving billing exceptions and failed payments

  • Run accounts payable; communicate with other teams for vendor onboarding, process received invoices, review coding and approvals, manage payment schedules, and maintain vendor records

  • Support month-end close; perform reconciliations, prepare workpapers and supporting schedules, and help with financial reporting, audit, and compliance needs

  • Take ownership of the accounting transition; partner with our external accountants during knowledge transfer, document processes, and bring recurring activities in-house for good

What Success Looks Like (Year 1)
  • Daily cash activity is reviewed, coded, and reconciled without lag — leadership has real-time visibility into cash position

  • Invoicing runs smoothly, with faster follow-up on missing payments and fewer collection delays

  • Routine accounting work that used to go through external accountants is fully owned internally, with documented processes behind it

  • Finance leadership is freed up to spend more time on forecasting and strategy instead of transactional accounting

What You Bring
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, including ownership of month-end close

  • Strong grasp of A/R, A/P, and bank reconciliations, you know this work cold

  • Experience with Stripe or another subscription billing platform

  • Comfort working in an ERP/accounting system and coding transactions accurately

  • A track record of operating independently in a fast-moving, high-ownership environment

  • Sharp attention to detail, with an instinct for improving process rather than just executing it

Ways of Working
  • Collaboration: You'll partner closely with Finance leadership and take direct handoff from Brale's external accounting team during the transition

  • Communication: Fully remote — expect async documentation of processes and clear, proactive flagging of issues (discrepancies, failed payments, close blockers) rather than waiting to be asked

  • Tools: Stripe, DualEntry, Bill.com and other standard banking and reconciliation tools

Why Brale
  • You'll build the internal accounting function, not just run one that already exists

  • Direct visibility into a fast-growing stablecoin infrastructure company — your work has real, immediate impact and demonstrable results

  • Room to grow as Brale's finance team expands around the foundation you set

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
