Role Overview
Reporting to the Director - Operational Accounting, the Operational Accounting Senior Accountant is responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of financial information for the Senior Housing Operating property portfolio. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Map operator level financial information and record monthly journal entries
- Prepare monthly reporting package, including balance sheet and income statement variance analysis
- Review and map capital expenditure reporting
- Analysis of performance metrics (occupancy, margins, RevPOR)
- Obtain and review account reconciliations for material balance sheet accounts and reconcile to Healthpeak’s accounts
- Review lease amendments, modify/maintain lease set up and profiles
- Maintain, and ensure compliance with SOX documentation
- Coordinate with operators to obtain support for various audit requests
- Prepare various 10Q/K disclosures and other quarterly reporting schedule
- Provide support to Asset Management and other departments as requested
- On board new operators and prepare property level set up
- Research and respond to auditors’ inquiries and requests
- Record monthly budgeting and forecasting for the portfolio
- BS degree with Accounting emphasis
- Previous public company, real estate or healthcare experience preferred
- Expert level Excel capabilities
- Detail oriented with good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks
- Deadline and project oriented
- Offering a salary of $105 - $120k plus generous cash incentives
