Senior Account Strategist (Full-Time)

This is a full-time position. Remote or Denver. Title (Senior Account Strategist or Account Director) will depend on experience.

Elevated Third is a B2B digital agency and Drupal expert. We design, build, and optimize digital experiences and growth marketing programs for enterprise and mid-market clients in industrial equipment, fintech, and SaaS.

We're hiring a Senior Account Strategist. The job, in priority order:

  1. Attack the white space. Find what our clients need that we aren't doing for them yet, build the case, and sell it. Most of the opportunity on our accounts is in what clients aren't buying from us today.
  2. Teach us. Bring a point of view on modern B2B go-to-market (ABM, intent data, Clay, 6sense, AI sitting on top of the stack) that pushes our team and our clients forward. We don't expect to teach you this. We expect you to teach us.
  3. Own pipeline outcomes. Form fills, opportunities, and pipeline created for your clients. When a client asks whether the program is working, you have the answer and the plan.

This is an owner seat, not a coordinator seat. You decide where a client's growth budget should go, make the case for it, and write the scope that follows.

What this role is not: a web account role. Our clients' websites, SEO, UX, and CRO are run end to end by an Engagement Manager who owns that relationship, that margin, and that growth. If most of your career has been growing accounts through web work, this isn't the seat, and we'd rather say that here than after an interview. You sit above the web lane and the paid lane, connect both to the client's revenue goals, and go find what's missing.

What You'll Do
  • Find and sell the white space. Identify what a client needs that we aren't doing yet, build the business case, and turn it into a signed SOW.
  • Teach us. Show our team and our clients where B2B go-to-market is heading and how to get there first. If you're not ahead of us on this, the role won't work.
  • Set go-to-market strategy across channels. ABM programs built on a real ICP, using tools like Clay and 6sense to identify and prioritize target accounts, with paid, content, and outbound all working the same list. You've built this yourself, not watched a vendor do it.
  • Own pipeline outcomes. Form fills, opportunities, pipeline created and influenced. You own the number, not just the meeting.
  • Own the commercial side of growth. Scopes, estimates, SOWs, and forecasting for the go-to-market programs and the white space you open. The web engagement's budget, burn, and change orders belong to the engagement manager. You own the number for everything you sell.
  • Use AI as a force multiplier. Not just first drafts. AI sitting on top of enrichment and intent data to decide who to target and when. Bring a working workflow, not curiosity about one.
What You'll Bring
  • Named account expansions you can point to. "Expanded this client from X into Y." You can tell us which expansions were yours, what the book was worth, and how much you grew it.
  • Something to teach us. Hands-on ABM and go-to-market experience: you've built target account lists, worked with intent and enrichment data (Clay, 6sense, or similar), run programs against them, and can show how you applied it on real client work.
  • 8+ years in agency account leadership on B2B accounts. Account Director, Client Partner, Account Supervisor, or Senior Account Manager titles are the usual path here.
  • A portfolio you've grown, with a number attached. If you can't put a dollar figure on your book, this is probably too senior a seat.
  • Hands-on commercial experience. You've written SOWs, priced work, negotiated change orders, and managed margin yourself, not through someone else.
  • A marketing strategy discipline underneath the account role. Demand gen, ABM, or paid media. Web, delivery, or project management backgrounds alone are not the fit.
  • Comfort in front of senior client stakeholders without a translator or a reliance on a SME. You can present a recommendation, defend it, and lose gracefully when you should.
  • An entrepreneurial streak. You take a shot, own the outcome, and don't wait to be handed a plan.

If you'd rather grow an account through great web work and a great relationship, that's a different seat than this one.

How We Measure Success
  • Your accounts grow. Net new revenue from existing clients, in services they weren't buying before, is the primary number.
  • The team is smarter because you're here. We're doing things for clients we didn't know how to do before you arrived.
  • Pipeline grows. Form fills, opportunities, and pipeline created for your clients, with a clear line from our work to the result.
  • Clients bring you into decisions before they've made them.
  • Your scopes hold. Work sold is work that delivers on margin.
Working at Elevated Third

We're remote-first, spread across four U.S. time zones, and united by curiosity, candor, and a commitment to measurable results. You'll enjoy a flexible schedule built on accountability, a smart team that takes craft seriously, and real ownership over meaningful B2B accounts.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $100,000 to $160,000 base salary. Title (Senior Account Strategist or Account Director) and where you land in the range are dependent on years experience. This role includes a quota-based bonus in addition to base salary. Quota and bonus details are set at the time of offer.

Benefits:

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
