At Colibri Group, culture is at the heart of everything we do. Our values—Love, Joy, Boldness, Teamwork, and Curiosity—guide how we work together, support our customers, and make a difference in the communities we serve.

Colibri Group is a leader in online professional education, serving more than one million learners each year across a family of trusted education brands. Moreland University is a nationally accredited postgraduate institution helping K–12 educators pursue teacher certification, advanced degrees, and professional growth through collaborative online learning. Its Educator Development Program (EDP) helps districts, charter networks, and state agencies address educator workforce needs through tailored partnerships.

Come Build What’s Next

We’re looking for a Senior Account Manager, EDP (B2B) to retain, grow, and deepen Moreland University’s existing partnerships with school districts, charter networks, and state education agencies.

This senior, client-facing role owns complex account relationships, renewal and expansion strategy, and executive-level engagement. You’ll uncover each partner’s workforce challenges, develop tailored EDP solutions, negotiate multi-year agreements, and align internal teams to deliver on commitments.

EDP combines teacher certification, mentorship, professional development, master’s degrees, and workforce insights to strengthen educator pipelines and address uncertified staffing, vacancies, and turnover. Its participant replacement guarantee means that if a participant drops out, Moreland replaces them. Success in this role requires a strategic account leader who can navigate K–12 decision-making, funding, and procurement—not simply maintain relationships.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and expand a portfolio of existing district, charter network, and state agency partners, driving retention, renewals, EDP bookings, and multi-year contract growth.
  • Create strategic account plans and stakeholder maps; lead quarterly and monthly business reviews and engage decision-makers across HR, academics, finance, procurement, and governing boards.
  • Build a comprehensive know-your-customer (KYC) profile for each partner, covering leadership, governance, budgets, funding and grant opportunities, procurement requirements, workforce data, and incumbent vendors.
  • Lead discovery into the full educator workforce lifecycle, including teacher pipelines, uncertified or out-of-field staff, vacancies, turnover, burnout, and workforce reporting gaps.
  • Partner with the B2B2C Client Engagement Account Manager to qualify EDP readiness and develop customized proposals that connect Moreland’s services to partner needs, budgets, and executive sponsorship.
  • Lead pricing discussions and contract negotiations with Legal and Finance; coordinate with Admissions and Academics to align delivery expectations and program commitments.
  • Build access to superintendents, cabinet leaders, and board members through internal champions; collaborate with the Chief Partnerships Officer and external advisors when executive access requires additional support.
  • Work with Marketing on webinars, administrator forums, and association events that engage multiple partners; maintain accurate CRM data and review forecasts and pipeline weekly with the VP of Sales.
  • Track results across expansion revenue, net revenue retention, renewal rate, EDP-qualified and contracted accounts, executive sponsorship, cohort and contract fill rates, and partner satisfaction.

What You’ll Bring

  • 10+ years of account management experience owning complex, multi-stakeholder relationships, with direct K–12 sector experience required; higher education or public sector experience is a plus.
  • A proven record of retaining, renewing, and expanding strategic accounts, including negotiating multi-year agreements and growing revenue across multiple buying groups.
  • Working knowledge of K–12 education systems, district and state-level funding, budget cycles, and procurement processes.
  • Executive-level relationship-building and consultative selling skills, including the ability to uncover needs, influence multiple stakeholders, and create tailored solutions.
  • Strong research, account planning, proposal writing, commercial negotiation, forecasting, and executive communication skills.
  • Hands-on CRM discipline and pipeline management experience; familiarity with HubSpot or Salesforce is valuable.
  • A bachelor’s degree (required); a master’s degree is preferred. Ability to travel 50% or more for onsite client meetings, conferences, and networking events.

Tools, Platforms, and Methodologies You May Use

Experience with every specific platform or formal selling framework below is not required. We care most about your ability to manage complex accounts, lead credible executive conversations, and turn customer insights into growth.

  • HubSpot or Salesforce for relationship management, CRM hygiene, pipeline tracking, and forecasting
  • Account plans, stakeholder maps, workforce research, KYC profiles, and custom EDP proposals
  • Solution selling, VITO (executive-level selling), and Challenger-style approaches
  • Partner business reviews, webinars, administrator forums, and education association events

What This Role Is Not

  • Not primarily a new-logo hunting position; the emphasis is on deepening and expanding existing partnerships.
  • Not a renewal-only or reactive customer support role; you will own strategic growth and complex commercial conversations.
  • Not a one-size-fits-all program pitch; each EDP engagement is shaped around the partner’s broader educator workforce needs.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Own meaningful, long-term partnerships that help K–12 organizations build stronger educator workforces.
  • Shape customized solutions across certification, mentorship, professional development, graduate education, and workforce insights.
  • Build relationships with senior education leaders while partnering across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Admissions, and Academics.
  • Have clear ownership and measurable impact on renewals, expansion, and partner success.
  • Join a mission-driven team grounded in Love, Joy, Boldness, Teamwork, and Curiosity.

We Encourage You to Apply

Experience can come from strategic K–12 account management in education technology, educator preparation, district-facing services, or public-sector education partnerships. If you have managed complex school-system clients and grown those relationships over time, we’d love to hear from you.

This role does require direct K–12 experience, substantial ownership of complex account renewals and expansions, a bachelor’s degree, and the ability to travel at least 50%. If your experience has focused mainly on transactional selling or client support without strategic account growth, this position may not be the right fit.

If you enjoy solving complicated customer challenges, building executive trust, and growing partnerships with lasting impact, we’d love to meet you.

What You Can Expect From Our Hiring Process

We want our interview process to give you a clear picture of the role, the team, and what it’s like to work at Colibri, while giving us the opportunity to understand your experience and career goals. We do not use AI to review applications; each application is reviewed by a human on our Talent Acquisition team. While the process may vary slightly by role, you can generally expect:

1. Recruiter Conversation  An introductory conversation with Talent Acquisition about your background, career goals, interest in Colibri, the role, compensation, and next steps.

2. Hiring Manager Conversation  A deeper conversation about your strategic account experience and how you approach the role’s priorities and challenges.

3. Team and/or Cross-Functional Interviews  Depending on the position, conversations with teammates, partners, or leaders about relevant skills and how the teams work together.

4. Final Conversation and Decision  Some roles include a final conversation with an additional leader or stakeholder. Talent Acquisition will communicate next steps and timing.

Our goal is to make the experience thoughtful, respectful, and transparent. We encourage you to ask questions throughout the process—we’re evaluating the opportunity together.

Our Commitment to Inclusion

Colibri Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome, respected, and empowered to do their best work. We encourage qualified candidates from all backgrounds, experiences, and career paths to apply.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
