About the Role

As a Senior Account Manager, Publishers (US), you will own and grow a portfolio of US publisher accounts, primarily in mobile gaming, with a growing share of non-gaming apps. Once a publisher is signed, you become the primary owner of the relationship, responsible for onboarding, revenue performance, product adoption, and long-term partnership growth.

This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who combines strong commercial instincts with technical understanding of mobile monetization. You will drive revenue growth through upsell and cross-sell, ensure successful integration and activation of publisher inventory, and work closely with internal teams to improve performance and customer experience.

Our industry is relationship-based, especially in gaming. The difference between a partner that grows and one that stagnates comes down to trust, service level, and knowing the customer's business well enough to sell the right products at the right time. We also expect AI tools to be part of how you work every day.

What You'll Do

Own and grow publisher partnerships

  • Manage a portfolio of gaming and non-gaming publisher accounts throughout their lifecycle.
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Run regular business reviews on site and set up the next stage of growth with each partner.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for commercial and operational matters.

Drive revenue growth

  • Own revenue targets for your portfolio and build the account strategy to deliver them.
  • Increase share of wallet through upsell, cross-sell and new-product adoption, including direct placements.
  • Sell consultatively: explain the value, secure the commercial opt-in, and drive the integration.

Analyze and optimize performance

  • Monitor account performance and spot changes before customers raise them.
  • Diagnose whether a change comes from the publisher, demand, integration or configuration, and act on it.
  • Use data to find growth opportunities inside accounts that look stable.

Ensure successful onboarding and activation

  • Lead publisher onboarding after the Sales handover.
  • Ensure agreed apps and inventory are integrated and activated.
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts to remove blockers during launch.

Turn customer insight into product improvement

  • Gather structured feedback and identify recurring market needs.
  • Share actionable insights with Product and Demand teams, and contribute to internal tooling and knowledge sharing.

Represent BidMachine externally

  • Attend industry events and conferences.
  • Expand your professional network and position BidMachine as a strategic partner.
What We're Looking For

Experience

  • 5+ years in Account Management, Customer Success, Partner Management or Publisher Development.
  • Experience carrying and hitting a revenue target.
  • A track record of growing revenue within existing accounts.
  • Familiarity with the US market and strategic customers in the region.
  • Strong background in mobile advertising technology on the supply side: publishers, mediation platforms, SSPs, exchanges or monetization products.
  • Gaming or mobile-games vertical experience is a strong advantage.

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Strong understanding of mobile monetization and programmatic advertising: OpenRTB, in-app bidding, waterfall, eCPM, fill rate and take rate.
  • Familiarity with SDK integration and the ability to discuss it with engineers and customers.
  • Comfortable working with dashboards and large datasets to drive decisions.

Commercial Skills

  • A sales-forward mentality with a proven ability to grow accounts through upselling and cross-selling.
  • Experience running business reviews and executive-level conversations.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.

AI Leverage

  • Hands-on use of AI tools in daily work, and the ability to explain how you use them and how you check the results.

Soft Skills

  • Strong ownership and accountability.
  • Comfortable making decisions with incomplete information.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Curious, adaptable and comfortable in a fast-changing environment.

Location

  • Based in the United States and authorized to work in the US.
  • Able to travel to meet customers on site.
Nice to Have
  • A publisher or game-studio background.
  • Experience at a competing network, exchange, mediation platform or SSP.
  • Non-gaming app monetization experience.
How Success Is Measured

Success in this role is measured through:

  • Revenue growth across your portfolio
  • Activation of signed publisher inventory
  • Growth in publisher spend and share of wallet
  • Adoption of new products, including direct placements
  • Customer retention and satisfaction
  • Quality and speed of issue resolution
You'll Work Closely With

Sales · Demand Operations · Product Management · Technical Support · Data Analytics

As the commercial owner of your portfolio, you'll coordinate across these teams to deliver the best outcomes for publishers.

What Makes Someone Successful

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
