We are looking for an Account Manager to cultivate and strengthen client relationships while driving business growth and achieving sales targets.

As an Account Manager, you will be the key liaison between our clients and our company, responsible for building and nurturing strong relationships and for the commercial performance of your portfolio. Your role will involve understanding client needs, providing support, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.

You will proactively identify growth opportunities and collaborate with clients to develop customized solutions that drive mutual success. Additionally, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of our offerings.

If you thrive in a client-focused environment, possess excellent communication skills, and are motivated by driving customer satisfaction and revenue growth, we invite you to join our team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Own a portfolio of client accounts against clear retention and growth targets, building account plans that set out how those targets will be met.

  • Own the commercial relationship across the whole contract cycle, creating and closing expansion opportunities as they arise and carrying that momentum through to renewal.

  • Drive commercial discussions with clients, promoting the value of our platform and identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities across our product suite.

  • Build strong customer relationships across the account, including with the senior stakeholders who own the budget and the decision to expand.

  • Monitor client performance metrics, proactively identifying opportunities to improve fraud prevention strategies and to grow the account.

  • Lead regular business reviews that evidence the value delivered and set the agenda for the next phase of the relationship.

  • Orchestrate the moments that deepen a client's command of the product, bringing in the right internal resources and materials so their teams leverage the platform more fully over time.

  • Act on customer concerns quickly, coordinating internally to resolve them and feeding root causes back into the business.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as customer success, sales, product, and engineering, to ensure seamless implementation and delivery of our solutions.

  • Maintain accurate forecasts and account records in CRM, giving the business a reliable view of expansion and renewal pipeline across your portfolio.

  • Stay updated on the digital fraud landscape, applying knowledge to enhance client relationships and develop tailored solutions.

  • Convey the value of SEON's services to a non-technical, non-fraud audience and translate complex value propositions into business benefits.

WHAT YOU’ll BRING:

  • At least 3 years of experience as an Account Manager or similar position, preferably with prior start-up sales experience.

  • A track record of meeting or exceeding retention and expansion targets across a portfolio of accounts.

  • Demonstrated experience managing and expanding accounts across multiple products or solutions, with a proven ability to identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities beyond a single-product offering.

  • Experience driving commercial discussions and negotiating expansions and renewals, particularly in the area of fraud prevention, is highly desirable.

  • Exceptional ability to communicate and foster positive business relationships, including managing expectations with credibility when things go wrong.

  • A track record of taking the initiative and confidently directing customer interactions.

  • Comfort working with data — able to interpret client performance metrics and build a commercial argument from them.

  • Disciplined use of CRM and forecasting tools to manage a book of business.

  • Collaborative mindset with experience working cross-functionally.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
