Build Relationships. Solve Complex Challenges. Drive Meaningful Growth.

Are you a strategic, relationship-driven sales leader who knows how to turn complex business challenges into meaningful opportunities?

Do you thrive on building executive relationships, uncovering client needs, and bringing together the right people and solutions to make an impact?

At Slipstream Life Sciences, we're looking for an accomplished Senior Account Executive to help accelerate our growth and expand our partnerships with leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and life sciences organizations.

This is an opportunity to do more than sell. You'll help shape strategic client relationships, influence business and technology transformation, and connect life sciences organizations with consulting expertise that delivers measurable results.

We're looking for someone who brings an established network, a proven history of exceeding sales goals, and a genuine passion for consultative selling. Someone who understands that the best business relationships are built on trust, collaboration, and delivering value—not simply closing the next deal.

About the Opportunity

As a Senior Account Executive, you'll play a key role in expanding Slipstream's presence across the life sciences industry, developing new business opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing clients.

You'll work directly with senior business and technology executives, identifying their priorities and collaborating with our practice leaders, technical experts, and delivery teams to develop solutions that address real business challenges.

Our focus is on business solutions, professional services, and technology consulting—not transactional software or hardware sales.

You'll have the opportunity to represent a diverse portfolio of consulting capabilities, with a particular emphasis on Salesforce and Veeva, while helping clients navigate everything from commercial transformation and data strategy to enterprise technology modernization.

If you enjoy the challenge of complex enterprise sales, value strong internal partnerships, and want to play a meaningful role in growing a life sciences consulting business, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

Drive Business Growth & Strategic Accounts

  • Own the full sales lifecycle, from identifying opportunities and building relationships through solution development, negotiation, and closing strategic consulting engagements.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed sales targets while developing a strong, sustainable pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Build and execute account strategies that expand our presence within mid-sized and large life sciences organizations.
  • Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts, introduce additional consulting capabilities, and develop long-term client partnerships.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline visibility, revenue forecasts, and sales activity reporting.

Build Trusted Executive Relationships

  • Leverage your existing industry network while developing new relationships with C-suite executives, business leaders, and IT decision-makers.
  • Engage clients in meaningful conversations about their business priorities, operational challenges, and technology transformation goals.
  • Position yourself as a trusted advisor who understands both the business and technology sides of life sciences.
  • Navigate complex enterprise sales processes involving multiple decision-makers, procurement teams, and executive stakeholders.

Collaborate to Deliver the Right Solutions

  • Partner with Slipstream's practice leaders, subject matter experts, and delivery teams to develop tailored consulting solutions.
  • Lead client discovery, opportunity strategy, solution presentations, proposals, and commercial negotiations.
  • Connect client needs with the right expertise, clearly communicating business value and expected outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively across teams to ensure proposed solutions align with client expectations and delivery capabilities.
  • Contribute to a sales culture built on teamwork, accountability, shared success, and exceptional client relationships.

Solutions You'll Represent

You'll help clients solve complex business and technology challenges through Slipstream's consulting and professional services portfolio.

Our primary areas of focus include:

  • Salesforce – Primary Focus: Life sciences CRM strategy, implementation, optimization, and commercial transformation.
  • Veeva – Primary Focus: Veeva platform consulting, implementations, optimization, and life sciences business process transformation.
  • Information Management: Data strategy, governance, integration, information architecture, and analytics.
  • Infrastructure: Cloud transformation, enterprise architecture, infrastructure modernization, and technology strategy.
  • Security: Cybersecurity strategy, risk management, regulatory compliance, and security transformation.
  • Project Management Office (PMO): Program and project management, portfolio governance, and enterprise transformation delivery.

The opportunity is to sell expertise, solutions, and measurable business outcomes—not standalone products.

Who You Are

You're an accomplished sales professional who combines strong business acumen, life sciences industry knowledge, and the relationship-building skills needed to succeed in complex consulting sales.

You're confident engaging senior executives, curious about what drives their business, and skilled at turning those conversations into meaningful opportunities.

You bring the drive and accountability of a high-performing sales professional, but you also recognize that the strongest client solutions come from collaboration.

You enjoy building something, developing long-term partnerships, and working alongside talented people who share your commitment to delivering results.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Life Sciences Consulting Sales: 5+ years of successful sales experience focused on business solutions, technology consulting, professional services, or complex consulting engagements within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, biopharmaceutical, medical device, or broader life sciences industry.

  • Established Executive Relationships: An existing network of senior business and technology decision-makers within mid-sized and large life sciences organizations.

  • Life Sciences Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of life sciences business operations, technology priorities, industry challenges, and regulated environments.
  • Relevant Solution Knowledge: Familiarity with consulting services involving Salesforce, Veeva, information management, infrastructure, cybersecurity, or PMO solutions.
  • Complex Enterprise Sales: Experience managing long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, including executive engagement, solution development, proposals, negotiation, and deal closure.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with practice leaders, technical experts, and delivery teams to develop compelling solutions.
  • Executive Communication: Strong presentation, negotiation, relationship management, and communication skills, with the ability to engage both business and technical audiences.
  • Ownership & Accountability: A proactive, self-directed approach to business development, account management, and delivering results in a remote, collaborative environment.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel approximately 20% for client meetings and business development activities.

What Will Make You Stand Out

  • Established relationships with senior executives across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and other life sciences organizations.
  • A strong track record of selling Salesforce, Veeva, or related life sciences technology consulting and implementation services.
  • Success developing strategic accounts and expanding client relationships across multiple business functions or consulting service lines.
  • Experience selling enterprise transformation initiatives that connect business strategy, technology, and operational improvement.
  • The ability to recognize opportunities beyond an immediate client request and bring together multiple consulting capabilities to deliver broader value.
  • A collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset with the confidence to take initiative and the humility to leverage the expertise of others.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
