We recently created the Segments Sales Manager sales position to penetrate the segments market. If you’re an experienced, driven sales professional, looking to build your career with an industry leader, this may be the role for you.

The Segment Sales Manager is responsible for driving growth and achieving sales targets within specific market segments. This dynamic role involves developing and executing innovative sales strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and building strong relationships with key clients. The Segment Sales Manager will collaborate with cross-functional departments and provide valuable market insights to shape product positioning and pricing strategies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's success and growth trajectory.

Primary Duties

  • Develop and implement sales strategies tailored to specific market segments.
  • Set and achieve sales targets and KPIs for assigned segments.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop promotional campaigns.
  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs, trends, and competitor activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for product positioning and pricing strategies.
  • Identify, create and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned segments.
  • Establish strong relationships with existing clients to ensure retention and growth.
  • Negotiate and close high-value deals with key accounts.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support to drive positive sales results.
  • Provide training and guidance to sales representatives on segment-specific sales techniques.
  • Monitor sales performance and generate regular reports on segment growth.
  • Analyze data to measure success and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Present progress and forecasts to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management.
  • Strong understanding of market segmentation and customer targeting.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and develop actionable insights.
  • Leadership skills with experience managing a team.
  • Industry-specific knowledge related to assigned segments.
  • Experience using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).

Working Conditions

  • Remains in a stationary position 50% of the time and involves additional physical demands such as ascending/descending stairs, walking stooping and standing.
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment ‘PPE’ when working/visiting manufacturing and plant locations.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery including but not limited to printer, tablets, cell phones.
  • Moves transports, puts, or removes equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.; pushes, pulls products weighing up to 200 lbs. using provided safety tools.
  • May be exposed to varying weather during travel.
  • Domestic travel required approximately 80%.

Pay Range:

$83,894.00-$97,734.00
