DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and data needs and translate them into scalable and efficient data engineering pipeline using hybrid cloud technologies. Design, Develop and maintain data pipelines using hybrid cloud technologies. Implement data modelling and data processing techniques to optimize on data storage and retrieval processes. Develop and deploy data transformation frameworks to support real time and batch processing needs. Implement monitoring, observability and troubleshooting tooling to help support the platform in an efficient way. Implement a sophisticated job orchestration framework which would work for hybrid cloud technologies. Support infrastructure provisioning for customers within the cloud environment for onboarding different data sets.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus 5 years (60 months) of experience in the job offered or as Security Engineer, Service Manager, Project Associate/Manager, Tech Specialist/Lead, System Analyst, Software developer, Programmer Analyst, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: Python; SQL; and Spark. This position requires two (2) years of experience with the following: AWS Serverless technologies including Glue, S3, EMR; Lambda, DynamoDB, Athena and Redshift; API Gateway; PySpark; and Container technologies such as Kubernetes. This position requires experience with the following: Building resilient application within AWS ecosystem; Terraform or related Code technologies; Jenkins; Test automation; and Resiliency testing. This position requires the following certification: AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
