Description
The Role
Perform end-to-end Order Fulfillment activities related to scheduling and sequencing in support of GM's car and truck brands. This role balances the needs of Vehicle Sales, Service & Marketing (VSSM), Manufacturing Strategy & Operations (MSO), Manufacturing, dealers, and customers to deliver optimal business outcomes. The role follows common processes and timing to support go-to-market execution while fostering collaboration, continuous improvement, accountability, innovation, teamwork, inclusion, and customer focus.
What You'll Do
  • Execute weekly product schedules that optimize supply chain schedules, support business objectives, and minimize exposure to unplanned costs.
  • Provide assembly plants with high-quality weekly production order sequences that support accuracy, efficiency, and customer-focused decisions.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to address supplier capacity, assembly plant, and engineering restrictions affecting dealer-facing constraints.
  • Support the Allocation & Dealer Consensus Process and weekly Dealer Order Submission Process while maintaining operational excellence and process compliance.
  • Support corporate scheduling initiatives that optimize cash flow, improve customer satisfaction, and drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Analyze complex scheduling challenges, develop innovative solutions, and communicate clear direction to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Participate in Order Fulfillment Vertical and Launch Team meetings by contributing insights, driving actions, and summarizing key issues and updates.
  • Identify, implement, and share best practices that improve scheduling and sequencing, team effectiveness, operational performance, and the customer experience.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and feedback for new or enhanced systems, tools, processes, and business capabilities, including participation in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Demonstrate resilience and persistence when facing challenges and setbacks while pursuing organizational priorities and business results.
  • Apply enterprise-wide thinking by considering the impact of decisions on customers, dealers, manufacturing, and supply chain partners.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in field sales, marketing, or supply chain, with a preferred minimum of 2-3 years supporting Order Fulfillment operational processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly assess changing inputs and make sound business decisions.
  • Knowledge of GM Production Order Management System (POMS).
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with GM Logical Language, POMS, Vehicle Description Summary (VDS), and Vehicle Order Guide (VOG).
