About the role
Responsible for engaging new and re-energizing existing Managing General Agent (MGA) relationships via sales and marketing tactics. Delivers significant sales & revenue growth within 24 months. Also responsible for targeting and developing National Brokerage partnerships to deliver incremental sales, revenue, and profit growth.Key Accountabilities
Develop specific plans to execute on the MGA strategies that drive significant new revenue growth.
Develop specific plans to execute on the National Account strategies that drive significant new revenue growth.
Develop and analyze strategic drivers for profitability on existing accounts.
Drive strategic methods to expand the number of relationships currently working with Trustmark.
Develop targeted methods to build strategic relationships with key decision makers within MGA and National Brokerage firms.
Strategically implement additional ways for Trustmark sales reps to gain exposure within the MGA firms and to win more business.
Act as day-to-day liaison with MGA Principals and National Brokerage Leads for product knowledge and our sales processes.
Interface with key Trustmark personnel to deliver on key accounts, and key relationships.
Collaborate with marketing team to implement successful promotions and campaigns.
Collaborate with the sales leadership teams of VP of Sales & Client Management, Senior Directors’ Sales, and the whole sales team to maximize opportunities.
Collaborate with and support the Sales Operations team to assure accurate accounting of activities and sales.
Collaborate with and support the Client Management team to assure persistency goals are being achieved.
Review national account RFP’s and proposals to provide feedback and ensure effective sales process.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree preferably in a business-related area.
10+ years of Group Medical and Employee Benefits experience.
Proven ability to establish and maintain mutually respectful relationships, handle conflict, resolve complex issues, negotiate, achieve consensus, and promote team spirit.
Previous experience managing a General Agency channel relationship.
Possesses superb interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to fully understand customer/producer needs and offer valuable information and solutions.
Working knowledge of CRM Systems.
Demonstrates a forward-thinking, strategic approach to planning for sales.
Working knowledge of PCs, Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint software.
Willingness to travel 25 – 75% of time (depending on home location)
Preferred
Working knowledge of group medical administration including sales and underwriting requirements, premium billing and administration, and eligibility and claims.
The compensation range for this role is (based on the corporate location in Lake Forest, Illinois):
$136,933 - $204,463 per yearThe final salary offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for bonus.
