THE OPPORTUNITY
Our continued growth brings about an immediate need for an SAP S/4HANA Data Migration Consultant with strong K-12 Public Sector experience to join our team. In this role, we are looking for someone who can manage & lead complex data migration efforts with cross-functional teams..

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive data migration strategy to transition from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Design and manage the data migration architecture, selecting appropriate tools and methodologies to ensure accurate, efficient, and secure data transfer.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (technical, functional, and business stakeholders) to conduct data mapping, transformation logic, and data validation rules for both master and transactional data.
  • Coordinate and lead mock conversion cycles, including planning, execution, issue tracking, and lessons learned, to ensure a smooth final cutover.
  • Manage and execute data cutover activities during go-live, including sequencing, validation, reconciliation, and defect resolution.
  • Create detailed documentation, including migration plans, data mapping sheets, cutover runbooks, risk assessments, and testing results.
  • Provide estimates and timelines for all phases of the data migration lifecycle and report progress regularly to project management and leadership.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and data cleansing efforts, working closely with business units to resolve data quality issues and prepare clean datasets for loading.
  • Implement and support post-go-live data governance, including establishing data ownership models, data quality metrics, and controls to ensure long-term accuracy and compliance.
  • Train and mentor internal team members or client-side personnel on data migration processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with SAP tools and methodologies, incorporating new features or updates into the migration strategy as applicable.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING FOR SUCCESS

  • 8+ years of experience in SAP ECC and S/4HANA data migration projects.
  • Hands-on experience with LTMC (Migration Cockpit), SAP BODS, LSMW.
  • In-depth knowledge of Material Master, BP/Vendor/Customer master data.
  • Strong understanding of Finance, Logistics, Procurement, Production, and Sales data domains.
  • Experience in transactional data cutover (open PO, SO, AR, AP).
  • Familiarity with 3rd-party migration tools is a plus.
  • Technical knowledge of BODS and SQL is a strong advantage. Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
  • Demonstrated experience working with public sector clients, including state, local, or K-12 organizations required.
