Job Description: 

Intel's SAP CoE team is looking for highly skilled and experienced SAP Basis Engineering Manager to lead our SAP Basis team. As the SAP Basis Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the administration, maintenance, and optimization of our SAP systems and landscapes. Your primary goal will be to ensure the seamless operation, security, and performance of our SAP environment, while also managing a team of Basis Engineers.

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Lead and mentor a team of SAP Basis Engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Set performance objectives, conduct performance evaluations, and provide continuous feedback to team members.
  • Identify training needs and promote professional development opportunities for the team.
  • Oversee all aspects of SAP system administration, including system installations, upgrades, patches, and system copies.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise to ensure optimal system uptime.
  • Implement and maintain SAP security policies, user management, and access controls.
  • Design and manage the SAP system landscape, ensuring scalability and flexibility to meet business requirements.
  • Plan and execute system refreshes and system migrations as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align SAP landscape changes with business needs.
  • Conduct performance tuning and optimization of SAP systems for enhanced responsiveness and efficiency.
  • Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to maintain optimal system performance.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance standards within the SAP environment.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in SAP security and apply them to the organization's SAP landscape.
  • Lead incident management and root cause analysis for SAP-related issues.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve critical incidents promptly.
  • Lead SAP Basis-related projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery within budget and scope.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership to align projects with the overall IT strategy and business objectives.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your degree, research and or relevant previous job and or internship experiences. 

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical/ Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 9+ years of experience OR Master's degree in Electrical/ Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 6+ years of experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4+ years experience SAP Basis Engineering Manager and/or experience in leading complex SAP projects.
  • 6+ years experience SAP systems, landscapes, and architecture.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP performance tuning and optimization.
  • Project management experience.
  • SAP Basis certifications.
  • SAP vendor relationship

Business group:Intel's Information Technology Group (IT) designs, deploys and supports the information technology architecture and hardware/software applications for Intel. This includes the LAN, WAN, telephony, data centers, client PCs, backup and restore, and enterprise applications. IT is also responsible for e-Commerce development, data hosting and delivery of Web content and services.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US:

$183,040.00-$258,410.00

Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.

Work Model for this Role

This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. * Job posting details (such as work model, location or time type) are subject to change.
