Job Description
Embark in a transformational journey with NBCUniversal as the company implements the data mesh and self-service data integration with SAP Datasphere. Your mission? Facilitating a seamless transition during our SAP S/4 transformation by ensuring efficient migration of both Master Data and transactional data. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of technologies such as, native HANA modeling, HANA Smart Data Integration, SAP SLT for replication, ABAP CDS View development for analytics, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Datasphere and SAP BW4/HANA.   • As an SAP Data Engineer, you will be responsible for gathering requirements, design, and build of SAP Datasphere landscape.
  • Integrate SAP Datasphere with SAP BW/4 HANA and BW bridge development to support various data and analytics initiatives.
  • Develop, deliver, and support analytic solutions in alignment with business requirements using SAC, HANA, HANA Cloud, and Datasphere.
  • Utilize best practice architecture and design principles to create analytical data models.
  • Understand customer demands, challenge requirements, and translate them into effective analytical solutions.
  • Strengthen the team by contributing your development, analytical solution, and collaboration skills.
  • Identify, challenge, and resolve existing reporting content issues through innovative ideas that enhance business value.
  • Demonstrate a high level of motivation and enthusiasm in improving solutions and processes.
  • Contribute to data management initiatives to ensure data integrity, quality, and common definitions.
  • Build secure and compliant cloud analytic solutions adhering to best practices in data security and privacy.
  • Support management reporting efforts from a data perspective to drive key business decisions.
  • Collaborate with peers in the Corporate Technology team (BTP/Security/System Engineering) to apply best practices.
  • Reviewing and updating support & operations documentation where required
  • Participating in production support role during key activity periods when required month-end, quarter-end, year-end etc.
  • Ensuring the consistency of master data between MDG and related systems
  • Reviewing & improving existing master data interfaces to eliminate master data issues in SAP ECC, SAP S/4, BW, BPC and any downstream systems.
  • Liaising with other Product teams to ensure timely resolution of all issues and to promote good working relationships.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years in data and BI development experience
  • 5+ years of experience BI modeling via SAP Analytics Cloud, accompanied by at least 3 complete implementation cycles.
  • Extensive knowledge of SAP BW, ECC, S/4 and SAC and its data structures
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business Administration, Engineering or related discipline with an information technology focus, or an equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Expertise in S/4HANA Analytics, including CDS Views Development, SAP HANA Cloud, or HANA 2.0, and SAP BW/4HANA.
  • Design and develop analytical models using Graphical/SQL View.
  • Ability to design and implement complex dataflows.
  • Proficiency in Python coding skills, and knowledge of Rest APIs is beneficial.
  • Experience working on mixed modeling with BW/4HANA and HANA native modeling.
  • Knowledge of development on HANA 2.0, such as HANA XSA Development, nodeJS, or ABAP development is an added advantage .
  • Experience in the integration of SAP and non-SAP data sources (Federated, Replication).
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Business Technology Platform
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles and practices
  • Proficient grasp of the entire SAP Analytics landscape, including, but not limited to, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Datasphere, and BW4/HANA
  • Working knowledge of data catalogue tools like Collibra is required.
  • Knowledge of integrating SAP Datasphere with hyperscale's (AWS/GCP/AZURE) is required.


Desired Characteristics:

  • Knowledge of investigating data flows to and from SAP with SAP BW, SAP BPC systems, SAP S/4 and other non-SAP sources
  • Strong understanding of financial data and experience in delivering finance and HCM analytics
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability for abstract thinking.
  • Proven teamwork and communication skills.
  • Desire for continuous learning.
  • Enthusiasm for performance optimization and root cause analysis.
