Job Summary:

 

Genesis Consulting is seeking an experienced SAP Cloud Project Manager to support our SAP Digital Transformation and Concur Practice. This role will lead the SAP Concur workstream on a large, multiyear SAP S/4HANA business transformation program for a major utility client, where Genesis serves as the Concur implementation partner working alongside a global systems integrator. The program is a business transformation rather than a technical upgrade: scope spans customer systems modernization, end to end process redesign, and S/4HANA based utilities capabilities, supported by SAP Signavio for process intelligence and SAP LeanIX for enterprise architecture planning. The ideal candidate must be well versed in SAP Activate Methodology, fluent in SAP Cloud ALM (CALM) for project planning, reporting, and delivery metrics, and capable of building Agile projects in Jira with sprints that follow Activate's rigorous standards. As a client facing leader, you will coordinate and drive teams across many organizations, including client business and IT stakeholders, the systems integrator, and third party vendors, whilethird party managing teams, contracts, and pricing and ensuring timely, high quality deliverables. You will also have the opportunity to grow our practice, lead internal innovations, and harvest reusable assets for future projects.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Duties include but may not be limited to:

 

·        Lead SAP Cloud Implementations: Oversee SAP S/4HANA, Concur, Ariba, and SuccessFactors implementations, managing all aspects of project execution.

·        Workstream & Program Leadership: Lead the Concur workstream within a multiyear, multivendor S/4HANA transformation program; align workstream scope, milestones, and releases to the overall program plan and integration points with adjacent workstreams.

·        SAP Cloud ALM (CALM): Own CALM setup and upkeep, including requirements, process hierarchy, test management, defects, and deployment plans, and keep project plans, status reports, dashboards, and delivery metrics current, accurate, and audit ready.

·        Cross Organization Coordination: Coordinate and drive teams across client business units, client IT, the systems integrator, and third party vendors; manage dependencies, escalate risks and issues early, and hold partners to their commitments.

·        Agile Scrum Management: Build and manage SAP Activate Agile projects, ensuring the effective use of sprints and rigorous adherence to all phases and activities.

·        Full Project Lifecycle Management: Manage design, development, documentation, testing, cutover, integration, Organizational Change Management (OCM), training, hypercare, Operations & Maintenance (O&M), and knowledge transfer activities.

·        Team and Contract Management: Oversee teams, manage contracts, pricing, and deliverables, and ensure alignment with client goals and budgets.

·        Client Facing Leadership: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships, managing expectations, and providing ongoing account management.

·        Resource & Timeline Estimation: Estimate project timelines, staffing needs, and allocate client roles and resources effectively to ensure successful outcomes.

·        Responsible for Setup and help maintain client Cloud environment throughout the lifecycle of an implementation (Configuration, Test/Development, Production)



Requirements

·        Experience: 7+ years of experience leading SAP projects, including at least one large scale SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA transformation, with a proven track record of delivering successful SAP Cloud implementations.

·        Program Management: Demonstrated program or workstream level management experience on large, multiyear, multivendor transformation programs, with the ability to own a workstream end to end.

·        Tooling & Reporting: Hands on experience with SAP Cloud ALM (CALM) for project planning, test and defect management, status reporting, and delivery metrics; proficiency with Jira, SmartSheet and MS Project or equivalent.

·        Stakeholder Coordination: Proven ability to coordinate and drive delivery teams across many organizations, including client business and IT groups, systems integrators, and third party vendors.

·        Industry: Utilities or energy sector experience, or exposure to SAP CR&B / customer systems modernization, is a strong plus.

·        Methodology: Strong expertise in SAP Activate Methodology and experience managing Agile projects in Jira.

·        Technical Knowledge: Hands on experience with SAP S/4HANA, Concur, Ariba, and SuccessFactors implementations is required.

·        Integration Knowledge: Expertise in SAP integration with ERP Finance systems  and ERP HR systems. Experience with APIs, middleware, SAP BTP, data integration, and functional integration

·        Leadership: Experience managing teams across all project phases, including design, development, testing, cutover, integration, and O&M.

·        Communication: Excellent client facing skills, with strong communication, teaming, and account management abilities.

·        Innovation: Ability to contribute to the growth of practice assets, prototyping, and product innovations.

 

Minimum Education:

 

·        Bachelor’s Degree

·        Master's Degree a plus

 

Desired Certifications:

 

·        SAP Activate Project Management certified; additional SAP certifications (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Concur, Ariba, SuccessFactors) are a plus.

·        SAP, Agile, SAFe certifications preferred

·        SAP Cloud ALM, SAP Signavio, or SAP LeanIX training or certification a plus

·        PMP or PgMP a plus
