Role Overview:

This role is part of the SAP External Reporting Organization, which has a global presence across Manila, San José, and Newcastle. The position focuses on developing and delivering SAP reporting solutions that support business-critical external reporting needs.

What Success Looks Like

• Lead the Scrum team as the primary software engineer, delivering high-quality solutions aligned with the product backlog and clearly articulating their business value.

• Collaborate and learn from top SAP software developers, continuously building mastery in SAP’s latest reporting solutions.

• Demonstrate a deep understanding of how SAP applications are delivered across R/3 and S/4HANA environments.

• Proactively expand technical expertise across SAP domains, gaining exposure to various technologies and focusing on key learning opportunities throughout the development journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ABAP solutions in both R/3 and S/4HANA environments (including CDS Views, AMDPs, etc.).

• Collaborate effectively within an Agile/Scrum team to design, develop, and deliver new features.

• Analyze tax-related business requirements and propose robust technical solutions.

• Ensure compliance with P&G’s technical standards and security/compliance policies.

• Communicate effectively with Technical Leads, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners to ensure alignment and transparency.

• Manage SAP Incident processes, including risk and impact assessments for OSS notes and SAP-provided solutions.

Job Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development on S/4HANA.

• 3+ years of experience with SQL or other ETL languages.

• Solid understanding of relational database systems and familiarity with Big Data concepts and S/4HANA database architecture.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic understanding of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) — full training will be provided.

• Experience working in global or distributed teams across multiple time zones.
