We are looking for a Sample Handler to join our team in Fremont CA. This role is fully onsite Monday-Friday at our Fremont Campus, and will assist in the flow of samples, in and out of site laboratories. Packs, unpacks or delivers incoming and outgoing materials and samples as directed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage samples from receipt to dispatch using internal systems and basic MS Office tools.
- Verify sample requirements and report discrepancies to the Project Team.
- Ensure compliance with UL's quality and accreditation standards.
- Coordinate sample availability and storage for testing.
- Support internal teams (lab, engineering, shipping/receiving) and guide sample returns.
- Maintain warehouse organization, safety, and cleanliness.
- Conduct inventory checks and report missing or damaged samples.
- Operate forklift and warehouse equipment (preferred).
- Contribute to process improvements and assist in training when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience operating forklifts and material handling equipment (preferred).
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
- Ability to safely use hand and small power tools (e.g., saws, drills).
- Comfortable with physical tasks: standing, bending, lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
What we offer:
- Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $46,200-$61,500 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 5% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
