Perficient is looking for a Technical Architect who can own the end-to-end technical solution across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud (Revenue Cloud experience is a bonus), and who is comfortable integrating third-party systems into the Salesforce ecosystem. This is a hands-on architecture role for someone who has designed and delivered multi-cloud Salesforce solutions, not just a single cloud, and who is ready to lead client engagements as the senior-most technical voice in the room.

The role could require up to 25% travel annually.

Job Overview:
The Salesforce Technical Architect serves as the strategic technology leader responsible for designing, guiding, and delivering scalable, multi-cloud Salesforce solutions that drive business transformation. In this role, you will own the end-to-end architecture across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and integrated third-party platforms, ensuring alignment with business objectives, technical best practices, and long-term scalability. You will partner closely with clients and internal stakeholders to define solution strategies, develop technical design documentation, create data models and ERDs, and support project scoping efforts for new and existing engagements. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will proactively guide customers through the Salesforce ecosystem, providing expert recommendations, addressing complex challenges, and leading critical technical discussions. As the senior technical authority, you will ensure delivery excellence by identifying and mitigating risks, maintaining implementation compliance, and overseeing solution quality. Additionally, you will mentor architects and development teams, contribute to sales pursuits and proof-of-concept initiatives, stay current on emerging technologies and Salesforce innovations, and remain hands-on in solution delivery by supporting key declarative and programmatic development activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
The pillars of being a successful Technical Architect at Perficient are:
Own the overall solution design across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and third-party integrations — including the data model, architecture, and identifying and mitigating risks early and often.
Work with the Sales team to accurately scope new projects for new and existing customers, creating technical design documents, ERDs, and other illustrations to drive conversations, and building POCs when needed.
Build deep relationships with customers, knowing their business better than they do, and leading them as a "sherpa" or "trusted advisor" through the Salesforce ecosystem. Speak first: bring your opinions and recommendations before being asked, and drive the conversation rather than waiting to be led. Comfortable having hard conversations when necessary.
Be the technology expert in the room, deploying best practices and staying current so you can lead by example.
Own project success by QA'ing consultants' user stories, guiding their approach, and supporting their growth.
Spend roughly 10-20% of your time hands-on in the system via declarative or programmatic Build phase items.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
4+ years of consulting experience within the Salesforce ecosystem.
Experience working as part of and leading a project team.
Sales Cloud Consultant and Service Cloud Consultant certifications required.
Integration Architect and Identity & Access Architect certifications preferred.
MuleSoft Architect certifications a plus
Experience delivering Experiences/Communities on the Experience Cloud platform and Service Cloud experience are both a plus.
Who We're Looking For
Technical depth gets you in the door. Beyond that, we're hiring for three qualities together, not any one in isolation: humble, hungry, and smart.
Humble — a team player first. You teach as readily as you learn, and you don't need to be the smartest person in the room to add value.
Hungry — genuinely curious and self-driven. You take on a new certification or course because you enjoy it, not because it's assigned, and you dig into unfamiliar problems until you've figured them out.
Smart — people-smart. You read a room, enjoy talking with customers, and can hold your own in front of a client audience. You don't wait to be asked: you speak up first, offer your take, and drive the conversation forward.
Excited about AI — you're already using AI tools to work faster and deliver better outcomes, and you want to keep pushing on that. This is where our SF+ practice is headed, so it's a practical, non-negotiable skill, not a nice-to-have.
