Scope of Work:
Capio Group is looking for an experienced Salesforce Functional/Business Analyst to provide IT Services for implementation of the clients cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) solution, software licensing and maintenance, and optional post-implementation services. The proposed solution is an enterprise-level data system, to address current and future information needs. The client solution supports a secure system to intake documentation, certifications, compliance forms, and data from public water systems; determine compliance; support staff and management through compliance evaluations, document generation, and recordkeeping; facilitate data-driven decision-making; and provide automated data publication. The Salesforce Functional/Business Analyst will assist the Product Owners to translate the expectations and preferences of the end users into to-be processes, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Participate in design and solution workshops and provide feedback on design trade-offs. Serve as the liaison between Business SMEs, Product Owner and delivery team. Incorporate feedback and updates to the user stories and track story progress in JIRA. Additionally supports testing as required.
As part of the team, the  Salesforce Functional/Business Analyst will be responsible for tasks including but not limited to:

  • Coordinates design and configuration activities with client resources.
  • Collaborates with client resources to elicit the information needed to configure the solution to meet business needs.
  • Documents business rules, and acceptance criteria.
  • Manages and refines the requirements backlog in the System
  • Development Lifecycle (SDLC) tool in coordination with client resources.
  • Collaborates with clients to define user access roles.
  • Collaborates with other project consultant teams to document business rules for data migration.
  • Participates in user story and test script development.
  • Responsible for requirements traceability matrix development and maintenance.
  • Facilitates User Acceptance Testing with program areas.
  • Develops and leads as-is and to-be business process flow documentation.
  • Responsible for requirements traceability from the contract through testing and training completion.
  • As applicable, responsible for translating requirements to implementation methodology (e.g., User Stories).
  • Accountable for business process management.
  • As applicable, responsible for translating business process flows to implementation methodology (e.g., User Stories).
  • Responsible for developing, documenting, and validating business process flows.
  • Responsible for allocation of business process flows to specific phases and releases.
  • Responsible for identifying business process flows not in alignment with established goals, objectives, and targets established.
  • Responsible for identifying and communicating business process flow, alignment of requirements to software functionality and configuration capabilities.
  • Reviews and analyzes functional design of all the components with a solution-wide view and ensures each component/module works together to address the functional requirements.
  • Ensuring and addressing all the functional requirements.
  • Works with the State Product Owner and Project team to define and document business needs, technical needs, and objectives.
  • Creates conceptual data diagrams and process diagrams.
  • Propose modifications to business workflows to solve problems.
  • Conducts change impact analysis to assess the potential implications of changes.
  • Tracks and fully documents changes to functional and business specifications.
  • Responsible for all quality control practices and policies.
  • Assists in development and testing tasks as needed.
  • Assists in training, knowledge transfer, and OCM activities as needed.
Mandatory Experience:
  1. Within  the last fifteen (15) years, must have a minimum ten (10) years of experience as the functional lead on completed implementations of enterprise technology solutions with a minimum value of $10M+ including leading and developing as-is/to-be business process analyses & mapping, documenting Business Process Re-engineering (BPR), and performing gap analyses involving business analysis experience leading, coordinating, planning, and communicating all aspects of the Software Development Life  Cycle (SDLC) from requirements elicitation through deployment of a cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) solution. Desirable Qualification scores may be awarded for additional years of experience up to a total of five (5) years.
  2. Within the last fifteen (15) years, must have a minimum ten (10) years of Agile or iterative /incremental software development methodology experience in enterprise technology solutions with a minimum value of $10M+.
  3. Within the last fifteen (15) years, must have a minimum ten (10) years of evaluating business processes, workflows, and requirements, and documenting migration activities on technology solutions with a minimum value of $10M+.
  4. Must be able to provide a client/user end reference contact information for each applicable project meeting the requirements upon request. The reference contact must be a representative of the company for which the project was developed and have performed a management or supervisory role.
Desirable Experience:
  1. Within the last fifteen (15) years, one (1) or more years of experience with the Salesforce technology. Desirable Qualification scores may be awarded for additional years of experience up to a total of five (5) years.
  2. Within the last fifteen (15) years, one (1) or more years of experience with State of California business processes and workflows. Desirable Qualification scores may be awarded for additional years of experience up to a total of five (5) years.
  3. Within the last ten (10) years, prior experience with the Water Industry or similar Natural Resources agencies.
