Role summary

We are seeking a Salesforce Developer, for our client. You will own and evolve the systems that power core operations and patient experience. This is not a “ticket-based” development role. You will function as a systems builder and operator, responsible for designing scalable architecture, building automation and integrations, and ensuring Salesforce serves as a reliable backbone for clinical, operational, and business workflows.

You will partner closely with operations, clinical, and product teams to translate messy, real-world processes into structured, durable systems. You will be expected to think beyond code—owning outcomes, not just implementations.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys building from first principles, and wants to directly shape how a high-growth healthcare company runs.

Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

  • Own and evolve core business systems in Salesforce that power patient onboarding, care coordination, and internal operations
  • Design scalable architecture using declarative tools (Flows) and programmatic development (Apex, Lightning Web Components)
  • Build and maintain integrations across external systems (health platforms, data tools, customer-facing applications) using REST APIs and middleware
  • Identify and resolve system-wide issues across automation, integrations, and data flows—driving root-cause fixes, not surface-level patches
  • Improve data architecture, integrity, and system reliability across the Salesforce ecosystem
  • Translate complex operational needs into structured technical solutions and system designs
  • Partner cross-functionally with clinical, operations, and product teams to define requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions
  • Contribute to long-term platform strategy and architecture decisions
  • Build documentation and system clarity that scales organizational understanding over time
  • Provide targeted internal support when needed, with emphasis on durable fixes and automation over manual workarounds.

Requirements

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • 3+ years of Salesforce development experience (Apex, LWC, and declarative tools)
  • Deep experience with Salesforce Flow and modern automation best practices
  • Strong Apex skills (triggers, classes, testing) and familiarity with Lightning Web Components
  • Experience building and maintaining integrations (REST APIs, middleware, event-driven systems preferred)
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data quality, and scalable system design
  • Ability to debug complex issues across multiple layers of a system (code, automation, data, integrations)
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments (startup or scale-up experience preferred)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to operate effectively with non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to operate with ownership, structure ambiguity, and drive work independently

Approach to the role:

  • You think like an owner. You design systems, not just features, and take responsibility for outcomes.
  • You are systems-first. You look beyond immediate fixes to understand how processes should work at scale.
  • You balance speed with durability. You know when to move fast and when to invest in long-term architecture.
  • You are hypothesis driven. You form a point of view about system improvements and validate through iteration.
  • You drive clarity. You turn ambiguous operational needs into structured, buildable solutions.
  • You build leverage. The systems you create reduce operational friction long after you’ve shipped them.

Benefits
  • Work Model – Onsite
  • Employment Type - Full-time
  • Salary - $115000 - $130000 / year
  • Decision Foundry is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, sex, gender, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. We will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
