Salesforce Developer - Salesforce Federal Delivery
Location: Remote (US-based, DC Metro Area preferred). Possible in-person expectations include visits with customers, Salesforce offices, and to Thunder offices in Tysons Corner, VA.
Employment Type: This is a contingent role based upon a successful bid award.
Role Summary:
The Salesforce Developer will deliver scalable, high-quality solutions on the SFDC platform based on industry best practices and business needs. This role isn't just about maintenance; it’s about pioneering the next generation of AI-driven government service. You will design, develop, and deploy secure Salesforce Service Cloud and Agentforce solutions that redefine how agencies interact with constituents. This role collaborates with architects, BAs, and PMs to implement customized, scalable, and compliant Salesforce solutions that directly impact national mission needs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and configure Apex classes, triggers, and Lightning Web Components to equip agents with custom "Actions" required to resolve inquiries.
- Implement business logic, automation, and integration solutions for the Case and Knowledge objects in compliance with Federal standards.
- Design and deploy Omni-Channel and routing logic to ensure mission-critical work is dynamically assigned to the right resources.
- Support secure integrations with legacy Federal systems to ensure the Agentforce engine has a comprehensive basis of knowledge.
- Collaborate with BAs and Solution Architects to translate complex mission requirements into high-impact technical designs.
- Participate in code reviews and support testing/troubleshooting during UAT to ensure compliance with strict Federal security requirements.
- Contribute to DevSecOps pipelines and secure CI/CD practices to ensure rapid, reliable deployment in Federal delivery environments.
Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of Salesforce development experience specializing in Apex, LWC, and secure API integrations.
- Proven ability to implement business logic and automation within Salesforce; experience with Agentforce or Generative AI grounding is a significant plus.
- Familiarity with integrating Salesforce into Federal legacy systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills in complex, cleared environments.
- Extensive knowledge of AMPscript, SQL, and building comprehensive customer journeys.
- Experience with secure development practices, Git, and CI/CD pipelines in Federal delivery environments.
- Practical expertise in Agile methodology, including managing scrum calls and prioritizing backlogs for complex programs.
- US Citizenship required, with ability and willingness to obtain security clearance(s)
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Required: Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification
- Preferred: Service Cloud Consultant, Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II, and/or Salesforce Certified AI Specialist
