Lumi is looking for a self-motivated Sourcing Manager. You will work directly with our rapidly growing network of global manufacturing partners to get quality quotes, negotiate pricing, and build strong relationships with our partners. Your ability to follow through and deliver on time is critical to Lumi’s sales success and our customers’ supply chain.
Responsibilities
Maintain and improve relationships with key manufacturing partners
Build relationships with a rapidly growing manufacturing network
Oversee all pricing projects from conception to PO placement
Negotiate preferred pricing
Turn around quotes quickly to keep up with our time-sensitive project demands
Identify the best sources from our network to match our customers’ specific needs per project
Constantly improve our partners’ experiences with Lumi
Fine tune and simplify our procurement processes
Research industry trends that affect pricing and lead times
Work closely with our sourcing team to identify network needs
Ensure quotes and product specs are always correct and carefully inputted into our systems
Qualifications
- 3+ years of sourcing, vendor management, or business development experience
Track record of outstanding negotiations
Genuine curiosity about manufacturing processes and vendor capabilities
Ability to sell yourself and Lumi’s vision to partners
Creative problem solving
Strong verbal and written communication
Competency with basic software like Excel and Google Sheets
Confidence making presentations and building rapport over the phone
Experience with the printing and/or packaging industry is strongly preferred
Experience doing market research, competitive analysis, and cost analysis
Experience with manufacturing and product specifications
