Job Summary

The Technical Solutions Architect (TSA) works in close concert with Talespin’s Solutions Managers in a team-based selling approach. Alongside the Talespin Solution Manager, the prospective candidate must be confident leading technical discussions and presentations with everyone from engineers, to managers, to "C-level" business executives. This position will not only encompass solution design, but will also include assisting in the sales of our wide service-based offerings. The TSA promotes Talespin products and, working collaboratively with our Solutions Manager generates revenue through technical sales communications, and conducting training sessions and sales demonstrations with our customers, potential customers, and other business partners. The successful candidate will be able to apply their expertise of Talespin’s products and frameworks to identify customers’ business needs, create and recommend the appropriate solutions that address those needs, and clearly explain to various audiences how the proposed solutions and technologies work.

 Responsibilities:

Critical Requirements

  • Relevant expertise in Project Management, Process Management, Project Portfolio Management, or similar discipline
  • Customer facing experience discussing technology and solutions involving XR/SaaS solutions
  • Technical aptitude to understand and engineer technical solutions
  • Strong customer-facing communications and presentation skills

Primary Job Functions

  • Work with Talespin Solution Manager to gather information on client business objectives, operating needs, business processes and economic drivers to drive and create statement of work for client deliverables.
  • Gather and create key technical and functional requirements document for client work.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering leadership, product owners, and other stakeholders to create and drive the detailed planning, scheduling and execution of development plans to meet business goals and schedules.
  • Provide industry and technical expertise in the development of Talespin products and services as well as the presentation of such offerings to clients in connection with the Talespin Solution Manager.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve existing Talespin offerings to clients. Communicates regularly with other members of the engineering/production and customer success teams to discuss recurring problems and to share solutions and best practices.
  • Conduct periodic strategic reviews of client performance with the Talespin Solutions Manager to provide advice and recommendations concerning these results.
  • Respond to and and be primary point of contact to diagnose technical support issues on Talespin hardware and software platforms through communication with customers including problem.
  • Follow and work to optimize established company procedures to examine customer problems and implement appropriate corrective action to initiate resolution, repair, or return, recognition, research, isolation, implementing resolution steps, etc.
  • Facilitate technical presentation and demonstration of solutions to clients.
  • Ability to successfully partner with 3rd party (reseller partner) sales teams on an ad-hoc basis as appropriate.
  • Ability to present at internal and external conferences as an industry expert.

Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant Process/Project Management, PPM, or similar industry experience
  • 7+ years of relevant SaaS sales, consulting, or support experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to develop presentations and other client facing materials
  • Ability to work as part of an integrated sales team
  • Ability to work with ambiguity at times
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to travel approximately 30%-40% of the time
