Sales Engineer (West)
LOCATION: Remote - West Coast
TITLE: Sales Engineer
REPORTS TO: CMIO
TigerConnect is seeking an experienced sales engineering professional with strength in technical solution design to support sales with new and existing clients. This individual will manage all technical activities related to enterprise sales within the US West region. Primary responsibilities include identifying, scoping, documenting, and promoting technical integrations that support revenue growth initiatives and increase the clinical and operational value that TigerConnect provides to its customers. This individual will also develop relationships with key IT and clinical stakeholders, and partner with the sales and account management teams to drive revenue. This is an influential and strategic role with the opportunity to work closely with enterprise sales representatives, account managers, marketing, product, and the executive team. An ideal candidate will have extensive experience servicing US healthcare customers in a technical capacity, such as solution design, sales engineering, or positions related to technical project/product management, implementation, or support.
What You'll Own:
- Deliver high quality, impactful sales presentations and product demonstrations to new and existing clients
- Identify and promote technical solutions and integrations that increase product value and generate revenue opportunities
- Provide technical sales support for clinical workflow and use case optimization proposals and early stage implementations
- Communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences eloquently and in context of their clinical environment
- Create succinct, customized technical documentation to expedite integration pilots and projects with customers, prospects, and partners
- Work with sales, account, and clinical teams to create value-based strategies for each customer
- Develop and collaborate on technically related sales and marketing messaging
- Conduct in-depth evaluations to verify solution meets prospect’s workflow and clinical collaboration requirements
- Make recommendations based on assessment of clinical workflow and available integrations
- Document all technical integrations, including detailed information for any integration with a net new vendor or system
- Ensure smooth transition from sales to implementation
- Meet sales bookings goals and objectives
- Perform production demonstrations that articulate the business and clinical value of the solution
- Perform product configurations as related to evaluations
- Perform production training as related to evaluations
- Make solution recommendations that reflect the prospect’s environment and requirements
- Ability to work well with IT, business and health professionals
- Ability to present to both individual contributors as well as executives
- Ability to travel frequently
What You've Accomplished:
- Strong understanding of hospital workflow and optimization best practices
- Technical sales experience in the US healthcare vertical
- EHR/EMR experience strongly preferred
- Cloud / SaaS experience required
- Bachelor's degree, focus on technical, engineering, software, networking, programming, etc
- Experience supporting channel partners
- Experience demonstrating enterprise software solutions to clinical or technical audiences
- Experience working with companies to define workflow requirements and mapping requirements to software solutions
- Familiarity with industry standard protocols such as SMTP, WCTP, and RESTful APIs
- Strong understanding of hospital workflow and optimization best practices
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as SOC, NIST, HIPAA, HITRUST
- Knowledge of common clinical systems such as nurse call, EHRs, HIEs, patient alarms, interface engines, middleware is preferred
- Interest in new healthcare technologies like FHIR and voice automation
- Experience working with software start-up companies
- Mobile and/or web development experience is desirable
- Mobile technology experience preferred
- Comfortable with the possibility of 50% travel mainly in the US West territory.
