Senior Operations Associate

Overview:

As a Senior Operations Associate on the WM Retail team, you will play a critical role in the continued growth and success of the WM Retail point-of-sale business. You will be primarily accountable for operationalizing the strategy of the business line as determined by the leadership team.  On a day-to-day basis, this will entail working closely with a cross-functional team to monitor and track performance across all aspects of the business - from the sales funnel down to customer support - and develop recommendations for improvement.  In addition, you will take on a variety of operational tasks to develop and further refine key process workflows and procedures to facilitate a continued acceleration in our growth trajectory.  You will also be expected to own special projects and programs in service of achieving overall business objectives as determined by leadership.

The impact you'll make:

  • Operations
    • Act as the primary day-to-day decision maker on account level issues while escalating major decisions and issues to the GM
    • Partner with the Marketing, Sales, Onboarding, and Customer Support teams to ensure on-track execution of initiatives and strategic plans
    • Assist with developing and refining client-facing support and training documentation
    • Build out and/or refine operational workflows as assigned by the General Manager of WM Retail to help increase conversion and retention
  • Performance Management & Reporting
    • Deliver consistent and logical reporting of key performance metrics across the entire customer journey from Sales to Onboarding to Support
    • Maintain deep understanding and cogent narrative of business performance drivers, opportunities and challenges
    • Proactively identify and execute analysis required to fill knowledge gaps
    • Monitor BU-level performance and execution towards medium-to-long term initiatives such as state and customer segment expansion or partnership integrations

What you've accomplished:

  • Undergraduate degree with strong academic performance 
  • Professional work experience for 4+ years
  • Advanced quantitative analytical skills with ability to independently derive insights and propose recommendations based on analyses
  • High level of interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Efficient organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-volume, fast-paced environment 
  • Capable of quickly adapting to new responsibilities and meeting new expectations in a rapidly growing company and industry
  • Ability to work independently with systematic troubleshooting techniques, judgment, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Salesforce preferred
