HelloTech is seeking a high energy Business Development executive to forge, manage, and optimize our partnerships with major retailers and OEMs in the electronics and smart home spaces. Reporting to the company’s Chief Revenue Officer, you will identify prospective partners, introduce our company to them, nurture relationships, and ultimately sign and manage win-win business relationships with the leaders in our field. You will also be involved in managing our existing 10+ partnerships, including identifying ways to make them more successful for both parties.
Responsibilities
Identify prospective partners in our categories and conduct research to understand their potential needs
Develop relationships with potential clients, and optimize relationships with existing clients
Create winning proposals for prospective partners, including term sheets and financial models
Develop standardized pricing and terms across partners
Pitch deals, negotiate terms and close deals
Manage the ongoing sales pipeline
Develop quarterly and annual sales plans, and monitor performance against the plan
Track competitor activities and learn and adjust
Develop consensus with internal teams (product, marketing, partner ops) to maximize success of programs
Transition day-to-day relationships to partner operations team to get up and running
Occasional travel is required
Required Skills & Qualifications
5+ years of progressive Business Development responsibilities and success at high-growth companies in the online or electronics space
Established record of creatively designing partnerships and successfully landing deals, including repeat business.
Exceptional, confident, communication skills with both public speaking and customer – facing experience.
Experience managing small, agile sales teams
Ability to independently set and meet deadlines, and motivate others to meet deadlines
Strong analytical skills
Independent, proactive and self-driven with a can-do attitude
Existing relationships in the categories (home electronics, retail, smart home) are a plus
