Senior Accountant

Role Overview:

Reporting to the Controller, Sr. Accountant will be responsible for accounting, reporting, and related analysis on SnackNation’s subscription and E-commerce business units. This role supports the execution and reporting to internal parties and works closely with the Controller to support a growing company. This position is very hands-on and requires a detail oriented individual who is able to understand business issues and provide analytical insight to support decision making, as well as supervise the general ledger function. The Sr. Accountant will lead all day-to-day finance operations and supervise general ledger staff members including functional responsibility over revenue, inventory, operating expense, fixed assets, AP, and AR. The Sr. Accountant will ensure that systems and procedures are in place to support efficiency as well as establish, monitor, and enforce internal controls and develop automated efficient processes where appropriate.

Responsibilities:

• Perform Monthly Account Analysis and Reconciliations

• Monthly Journal Entry of Accrual, Reversal & Expense reclassification

• Upload Journal Entry in NetSuite environment

• Responsible for Month-End Closing, Financial Statement Reporting

• Prepare Audit Schedules for Interim and Year-End

• Assist with various monthly and quarterly reporting requirements

• Assist in preparation of monthly variance analysis and other reporting requirements

• Establish internal controls through policies and procedures

• Create best practice procedures for accounting activities and recommend process improvements where they already exist

• Ensure data integrity, consistency and accuracy through the proper application of Accounting principles

• Perform other duties that may be assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or in Business with emphasis in accounting

• 3+ years relevant accounting experience, Big 4 experience preferred

• Strong accounting knowledge and understanding of GAAP

• CPA or progress towards obtaining license

• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients or customers

• Proficient in Excel & NetSuite

• Ability to resolve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only a limited amount of information may be available

• Careful attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks while achieving deadlines

• Manufacturing/Distribution and E-Commerce, background, a plus
