About This Role

The Learning and Development team is responsible for the growth and development of all Apeel team members. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced sales leader who will strike the balance between experienced backed context and empathetic champion of understanding.

As the Sales Trainer, you will be responsible for building Apeel’s sales enablement function. You will be a valued member of Apeel’s People & Culture team working closely with teams across the company to ensure all sales functions are well informed, efficient, and effective. Focusing on the development of Apeel’s sales team through world-class learning tools and training delivery.

This position is based in our growing Santa Barbara Office. We’re looking for someone to join our team immediately. Travel is required (25%) to other Apeel offices.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with our sales leaders to understand the needs of the team and design and execute a customized enablement strategy to support the team’s sales readiness and effectiveness
  • Collaborate closely with other segment leaders within the Sales team and subject matter experts within Sales, Sales Operations, Marketing, Product Marketing, and Product Management
  • Develop and deliver content for employee Onboarding and Continuous Enablement programs using the most effective format and delivery vehicle (e.g. audio, video, eLearning, role plays)
  • Manage scheduling of virtual and in-person classes for new Sales reps, and ensure their success with regular check-ins throughout their first 90 days
  • Manage the rollout, adoption, and knowledge transfer of sales tools & best practices, and communicate with learners, facilitators, and speakers to ensure smooth delivery of training classes and programs
  • Build and maintain relationships with Sales Management to ensure Sales Enablement aligns with Sales organizational goals and objectives
  • Establish the culture and internal brand of the Global Sales Enablement organization

What You Bring  

  • 5+ years of sales enablement, sales productivity, sales training manager and/or consulting experience
  • Proven track record in creating, delivering, and training successfully with measurable results in fast paced environments
  • Strong ability to represent concepts, as well as summarize and communicate complex ideas into curriculum with a strong sense of how sales professionals think, operate and absorb training
  • Passion for coaching and educating others
  • Strong process and analytical skills to identify inefficiencies and create improvements
  • You have a collaborative working style, experience working across the company with teams of varied size to achieve common goals
  • Experience in fast-growth, SaaS startup environments highly desired
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Passion for problem-solving and developing others; excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills; and the proven capability to make timely and sound decisions
