We’re looking for an experienced Sales Development Representative to join our team in Los Angeles and drive our mission to transform the way humans learn, work and collaborate.

The Sales Development Representative plays a vital role in creating revenue results, and directly contributes to the growth and expansion of Talespin. 

As a Sales Development Representative you will execute inbound and outbound business development to deliver qualified opportunities to Account Executives to accelerate revenue growth. The SDR will be responsible for inbound lead qualification in response to marketing and PR programs, and rapidly routing them to account executives on the frontlines of driving revenue growth. Outbound SDR duties will include calling prospects, and emailing to schedule actionable meetings with Account Executives. 

As a Sales Development Representative, you will:

  • Develop and qualify opportunities with large Fortune 1000 firms who can benefit from compressing the time from learning to execution, increase workplace productivity, and reduce the cost of corporate training to accelerate their businesses. 
  • Identify prospects with tangible buying potential, authority and are committed to learning more.
  • Persuasively identify pain points that clients didn’t recognize, yet genuinely have.  
  • Elevate interest, curiosity and inspire prospective customers to learn more details by actively scheduling a meeting with a Talespin Account Executive. 
  • Clearly and concisely communicate Talespin’s value proposition, how Talespin can solve the prospects business challenges, and potential cost savings. 
  • On calls, listen more (65%), speak less (35%), synthesize information and generate answers in real-time based on the live feedback of prospective customers. 
  • Instill every prospective customer with a positive impression of Talespin.
  • Work closely with the Sales team to identify, prioritize and target prospects. 

As a Sales Development Representative, you will need:

  • Previous SDR experience, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth at a SaaS firm that is a leader in its category.
  • Demonstrated track record of being a quota-busting, over-achiever against defined sales metrics (top 10%).
  • Expert phone, concise conversational, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Resilient in the face of rejection, emotional fortitude and unwavering positivity.
  • Comfortable interfacing with senior decision makers.
  • Creative, innovative and entrepreneurial thinker who invents new processes to drive results, and fly higher than others thought possible.
  • Extreme focus, prioritization and disciplined time management.  Invests scarce time in the most valuable prospects.  
  • Strong proficiency in applied use of CRM systems such as HubSpot or Salesforce.  
  • Technical skill set and a desire to work in VR, emerging technologies, learning and development, with a startup mindset.
  • Driven to succeed, team player who wants to build something important, and an ability to work in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
  • Competitive and driven to win, with no ego. 
  • SaaS sales experience preferred.
