About our Software
Meltwater is the global leader in media intelligence. We provide clients an award-winning software-as-a-service to better understand their current media landscape, both in the news & social media.
On a day to day basis, we keep our clients informed through email alerts and our mobile app as to what's being said about them, their competitors, their industry, or any topics they deem business-critical. From there, clients typically log into our platform to:
- Run competitive reports or visualize how their PR/Marketing campaigns are performing
- Listen, Manage & Engage across their brands' social media
- Target social influencers and journalists
- Easily distribute relevant news content through custom newsletters, newsfeeds & press releases
We work with every industry and our clients consist of companies like Amazon and the Golden State Warriors to small local non-profits and PR firms. Each of our 30,000+ clients uses the tool in their own unique way, which means each client account is completely customized and tailored to their use case.
About the Role
The Sales Consultant role is the entry-level position within our International Management program. It is a business-to-business sales role which involves presenting the cutting-edge Meltwater services to prospective clients across North America.
Our clients are typically in the Public Relations, Communications or Marketing Departments at their companies and we work directly with their VP level decision-makers.
Your goal will be to understand the current PR/Marketing challenges a potential client is having and customizing the Meltwater solution to help address their specific needs.
You will be responsible for the entire sales process, from prospecting clients you're interested in, initial outreach, & conducting solution-oriented demos to negotiating and bringing clients onboard yourself – getting all of the credit for your hard work!
In addition to training you to become a successful salesperson, we pride ourselves in being able to develop fantastic Managers, and our goal is to facilitate your longterm professional growth, taking on more responsibilities once you are ready for them.

- Salary Structure: Attractive Base Salary ($42k) + Bonuses + Uncapped commission = On target earnings ~$100k your first year
