About the Job

The Director, Location Platform Sales role will be tasked with sales strategy and sales execution for Infillion's mobile location management technology to the world’s largest marketers, brands and mobile applications. Your primary performance indicators are new customer acquisition, annual recurring revenue (ARR), and growth of Gimbal’s location data panel. Key marketer verticals include retail, sports & entertainment, and hospitality. You will be responsible for establishing relationships direct to brands and through an expanding partner network. Expertise in the location technology space, emerging digital consumer trends, data as a service, and a network of contacts in target verticals are important criteria for success in this role. 


As the Director, Location Platform Sales, you will be a key member of a fast-paced and quickly growing Business Unit. Your focus, and that of your team, is the positioning, presentation, and execution of partnerships leveraging Gimbal’s unique location technology solutions.

What you will be doing….

  • Leveraging your existing relationships with brands to increase revenue through the presentation of Gimbal's services and suite of product offerings
  • Partnering with the National Direct Sales team to upsell existing clients and prospects 
  • Establishing new partner channels and growing upon existing partner relationships
  • Utilizing Gimbal's sales methodology from proposal to close
  • Evangelizing Gimbal in market and actively sharing materials on thought-leadership
  • Managing the pipeline of activity and provide regular status updates
  • Working with Client Strategy, Product Management, Marketing, and Business Intelligence to evolve Gimbal’s location tech and position in the market.
  • Being a role model and representative of Gimbal’s culture both internally and externally


What you have….

  • Minimum of 10 years of digital and/or mobile software sales experience
  • Business Development experience in building and growing relationships
  • Strong marketer and direct to brand relationships
  • Knowledge of SaaS-based business models
  • Knowledge of data management solutions
  • Mobile App development experience- understanding of the core technology
  • Proximity location mobile technology experience
  • Consultative and value selling sales skills
  • Extensive C level sales experience
  • Superior client facing presentation skills
  • Motivated individual, with a positive attitude, who can consistently strive to exceed expectations
  • A natural negotiator
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Attention to detail
  • Use data to effectively tell a clear story
  • A proven track record of quota attainment
  • Knowledge of Salesforce
