About the job
In this position you will report to the Vice President of Product and will act as the liaison between the product org and the sales team. You will be keeping both departments in lockstep to ensure that Product is fulfilling the needs of the Sales team to bring on new customers while also ensure that sales understands the challenges and prioritization that are taking place. In addition, you will be responsible for evangelizing new products and features as well as timelines and availability as development dates often change.
Role/Responsibilities:
- Act as point of contact between the sales and product teams
- Work closely with product managers and owners to align on development planning
- Manage sales originated feature requests
- Manage sales originated custom engagements and the scoping process
- Help identify and oversee integration engagements with 3rd party solutions
- Provide online demonstrations that encompass both core and custom solutions
- Work with sales management on RFP responses to address technical responses
- Meet with key clients, assist sales representatives with maintaining relationships and strategic planning
- Provide regular product updates to the sales organization
- Online demonstrations for back of house portion of presentations
- Product roadmap tracking and customer facing edition
- Evangelize new products and features to the sales team
- Attend weekly meetings with each of the product team verticals
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
- Comfortable communicating architecture to all levels of management and customers
- Excellent knowledge of software development methodologies and processes (Scrum preferred)
- Excellent decision-making skills with the ability to balance conflicting interests in a complex and fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical, prioritization, and troubleshooting skills
- Work and communicate internally and with the customer at all levels, from engineers, end-users, to C-suite
- Efficient at using Jira and Confluence as part of a daily routine (preferred)
- Effective in responding to RFP’s, creating ROI and Case Study documents
