PeerStreet is a leading marketplace for investing in real estate backed loans. We are seeking a Post Closing Specialist for our Post Closing Team. The Specialist will be working in a fast-paced environment and interacting closely with originators, internal teams and various third parties involved in financing transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow-up on Collateral Trailing Documents (Recorded Assignment, Mortgage/Deed of Trust and Final Title Policy) for Loan Files for internal and external Business Partners and Investors.
  • Review received documents to ensure that documents are correctly signed and properly executed by borrowers and originators.
  • Input Mortgage/Deed of Trust recordation data into PeerStreet's system of record once documents are received.
  • Procure Investor exceptions identified by the Investor and/or document custodian.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required (College degree preferred). 
  • Able to perform tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to demonstrate a proactive, hardworking, flexible and able to work under own initiative but also a team player.
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of MS Office and Apple products.
  • Strong customer service, attention to detail, and time management skills a must.
  • Prior title, settlement services or mortgage experience (preferred).
  • Ability to lift 15 lbs.
