Job Description Summary:
The Manager's role is to execute the strategy that is dictated by the Sr. Manager and Director of the team. Managers function at the account level and own the immediate relationship. They are the first line of defense and work to continuously optimize relationships across the full suite of Honey products in ways that understand, address, and reach merchant goals and KPIs.
Not only are they responsible for day to day communications outside of basic tactical offer acceptance, triaging content updates, etc., but also for the ongoing maintenance and growth of the relationship through an aggressive cadence of email, phone, partner event, office visit, and conference touchpoints
Job Description:

  • Demonstrate initiative to Sr. Manager (proactively seeking solutions, identify and execute on strategy)
  • Ability to manage, mentor and lead a small team (directly or indirectly) This level can be people managers or ICs
  • Dictate strategy and drive business initiatives towards increasing merchant value for Honey


  • Identify problems, ideate and implement solutions
  • Establish, build and grow merchant relationships
  • Exemplary representative of Honey with the ability to effectively communicate the value of all Honey products
  • Measure and report the status of your portfolio to Sr. Manager
  • Intimately understand merchants in your portfolio and their business needs as well as value and importance to Honey.


  • Proactively respond to emails that are delegated to you that fall within your purview
  • Meet deadlines and respond to emails within 24 hours (excluding weekends)
  • Independently recommend products and optimization strategies based on merchant situations
  • Be seen as an expert on affiliate concepts and vocabulary internally and externally
  • Fully understand client objections and take ownership in responding to client objections


  • Log all updates through the Honey CMS as well as partner conversations through Honey CRM (Salesforce)
  • Comfortably lead merchant calls and mentor Sr. Partnerships Associate and Partnerships Associate's communication skills
  • Showcase extensive knowledge for affiliate ecosystem and merchant needs and goals with-in affiliate (Industry Knowledge)
  • Recognize frequent objections and escalate appropriately
  • Use data to identify and prescribe recommendations for performance fluctuations


  • Comment, identity and share industry knowledge, insights with the greater Partnerships team - become a thought leader, if nothing else at least for your respective accounts and clients
  • Be seen as a leader within not only your portfolio but the Partnerships team at large - be comfortable speaking to larger audiences whether it be client, Partnerships team or Company wide presentations as needed.
