Responsibilities

TikTok has global offices including Los Angeles, New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Dubai, Mumbai, Singapore, Jakarta, Seoul, and Tokyo. 1. Develop, maintain, and manage relationships with established and emerging artists and identify collaboration opportunities 2. Promote, create, and produce original music for the product through the collaboration with the music artists and music communities 3. Observe, follow and predict the trends in the music industry, and work closely with the Music Licensing team for content acquisitions 4. Oversee in-app music operation including music database management, recommendations, and playlist curation for users 5. Work closely with the Content team to coordinate music content campaigns and initiatives

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in related fields or equivalent experience 2. 5+ years experience in a music-related position with the successful track record 3. Comprehensive understanding of the music industry, with a focus on trending genres and artists 4. Familiarity with a wide range of music and different types of audience groups 5. Superior relationship building skills and established connections with artist networks necessary to encourage the growth of the product’s music portfolio 6. Understanding of the creative process of music creation from composition to production 7. Experience with managing music campaigns and initiatives from conception to completion 8. Data-driven mindset and strong analytical skills, able to interpret data, identify problems, and come up with constructive solutions 9. Basic knowledge of music licensing
