What You'll Do

• Point of escalation for customers that need to speak with a licensed broker about purchasing a new health plan.
• Compassionately provide expertise to JOANY's customers who need help understanding health insurance, their situation, and their options.
• Contact insurance companies for appointment related activities.
• Own key enrollment processes (major medical, dental, vision) and understand the enrollment pathways like the back of your own hand.
• Continuously improve processes and look for ways to make things more efficient.
• Manage complex and large scale cross-team, cross-functional initiatives.
• Proactively raise, manage, and resolve challenges.
• Contribute to blog posts and other publications on behalf of JOANY to provide industry expertise to the masses.
• Quickly learn and keep up with health insurance terms, definitions, and the overall political climate.

What You'll Bring

• Active Accident, Health & Life insurance. Minimum 5 years experience as a licensed Broker or Agent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and exceptional emotional intelligence.
• Experience using systems similar to Zendesk, Sprout Social, DialPad and/or Salesforce preferred.
• Solid technical aptitude in Mac OS, proficient in basic office software tools (Google Spreadsheets & Docs).
• Ability to influence and motivate people across a broad variety of job functions.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously, without losing sight of highest priority items.
• Almost neurotically detail-oriented.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and exceptional emotional intelligence.
• Natural love for generating simple solutions from complex problems.
