SteelHouse is seeking a unique and talented inside sales leader to mentor and grow a successful team in the marketing technology space, selling into senior marketers in retail, subscription, e-commerce, travel and other verticals.

The Head of Inside Sales has direct accountability for the strategy, process and people management of the Inside Sales team at SteelHouse and will continue to build out the infrastructure of this rapidly growing sales team. A critical front-line function, the Inside Sales team is responsible for securing new advertisers. The Head of Inside Sales will work closely across all teams and functions including Sales, Revenue Operations, Talent Acquisition, Training, People, Product, and Marketing to deliver world class solutions to our prospects and customers.
You will:

  • Create the operating plan and strategy team-wide and ensure it is aligned with the SteelHouse strategic direction 
  • Provide guidance and motivation with your sales leadership team to assist in meeting or exceeding performance goals
  • Establish team measurements and provide regular reporting on progress 
  • Build and execute ideas to improve conversions, efficiencies and productivity for the team 
  • Continually review and refine sales processes and initiatives to increase effectiveness of the team
  • Conduct regular coaching sessions to inspire engagement and change management
  • Have an active role in acquiring and retaining top talent 
  • Collaborate with key business partners in talent development, coaching & performance management, recruiting and on-boarding
  • Bring expertise and recommendations on demand /lead generation software platforms, and come to the table with a point of view on how tools and software can help SteelHouse meet their inside sales goals needs
  • Partner with our CRO to ensure alignment, consistency, and performance expectations are being met by your team

You have:

  • 5+ years as a leader in a Sales environment, preferably Inside Sales - SAAS, MarTech or AdTech
  • Experience overseeing an organization of 25+ Sales representatives in a quota carrying, transactional environment and affecting month over month revenue and/or profit increases 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other supporting departments to develop consensus decisions 
  • Success managing multiple teams at Sr. Manager/Director level in a sales environment 
  • Practice analyzing sales trends based on reports and metrics and creating meaningful changes to affect positive results 
  • Accomplishment developing successful sales teams based on enthusiastic leadership and motivational skills 
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities 
  • Strong organization and time management skills 
  • Exposure working with sales focused IT platforms such as SalesForce.com, and all Inside Sales + Lead Generation technology platforms
  • Residence in the Los Angeles area, and can work onsite in our Culver City office 
  • Capacity to travel as needed - 10%
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
