InCloudCounsel is seeking a Director of Business Development & Partnerships to join our rapidly growing company. InCloudCounsel is the leading technology and services provider of contract automation and intelligence for many of the world’s biggest and most innovative companies. By combining highly experienced corporate attorneys with cloud-based software that unlocks valuable data within contracts, InCloudCounsel offers a scalable, end-to-end solution for negotiating and managing routine legal work.

The Director of Business Development & Partnerships will be an essential member of our sales team focused on identifying, prospecting, and securing new strategic partnerships to accelerate and support InCloudCounsel’s growth. In this role, you will have the exciting opportunity to help develop our global sales strategy as you create impactful relationships with law firms and businesses around the world.

The Director of Business Development & Partnerships will report directly to the VP of Sales of InCloudCounsel, and the package includes a competitive base salary, variable compensation, equity, and full benefits. The preferred location for this role is New York, though we are open to applicants in other major U.S. cities.*

*InCloudCounsel is an employer in the following U.S. states—CA, D.C., CT, FL, GA, IL, MA, MN, NJ, NV, NY, OR, PA, TN, TX, VA, WA, as well as internationally in Hong Kong, Singapore, and The United Kingdom; we currently have offices in London, Los Angeles, New York City, and San Francisco.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and secure new business partnership opportunities with traditional law firms and other potential partners
  • Negotiate terms, structure relationships, and work closely with the rest of the sales team to launch new partnerships
  • Create strategies to help the team monitor partner activity and analyze performance, identify areas of improvement and recommend ways to increase adoption and revenue
  • Design and propose new deal structures consistent with market strategies, deal requirements and financial objectives
  • Construct and help present pitch materials highlighting features and benefits applicable to partners
  • Work closely with the finance team to forecast, measure and report the results of all strategic business partnerships

Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience working in legal practice and sales-focused roles (with a preference for partnerships experience)
  • Proven track record of bringing a number of strategic deals to life from conception to execution
  • Demonstrated understanding of essential sales-focused learning and development frameworks, methodologies, and best practices
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills. You understand how to work well with a variety of individuals with different skill sets, backgrounds, and personalities
  • Adept at working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and product teams to effectively align and roll out long and short term projects
