About the Director, Sales (Headspace for Work) at Headspace:

Headspace is launching its Headspace for Work business and we’re scaling our foundational go-to-market team. We are looking for a Director of Sales to lead our fast growing team of national Account Executives. As our Director of Sales, you will play a crucial role in hiring, developing talent, creating processes, building culture, and driving success for our first set of enterprise customers. You will help develop the team’s skills and deliver on their ambitious targets, create sales strategy, as well as roll your sleeves up to work directly with customers. This person will report directly to the VP/General Manager, Headspace for Work.

To be successful in this role, you need to have a deep understanding of our product and mission, and a minimum of 7 years of experience in a quota carrying sales role and 5 years of experience as a people manager running a team of AE's at a SaaS startup. You are a true entrepreneur who loves creating and executing process at the same time, are a proven team and business leader, love to help others succeed, and have a passion for working for a mission-driven company.

This role is open to either San Francisco or Santa Monica.

How your skills and passion will come to life at Headspace:

  • Hire, train, mentor, inspire and grow an incredible team of national Account Executives through impeccable leadership and innovative sales strategies
  • Help create internal and external processes that will help the Headspace for Work organization run effectively, efficiently, and in support of business strategies and objectives
  • Manage day-to-day operations, with a focus on performance against key sales metrics
  • Partner with Sales Development to build scalable inbound and outbound lead management
  • Partner with Customer Success to onboard the right customers, drive adoption/engagement, and create sustainable expansion and renewal strategy
  • Partner with Sales Operations to build sales processes and forecasting models that are measurable and scalable
  • Support and drive annual business planning process, including development of go-to-market business plan, territory/comp/quota planning

What you’ve accomplished:

  • 7+ years of Sales experience preferably within an Enterprise SaaS organization or employee health and wellness
  • 5+ years of Sales Management experience preferably within an Enterprise SaaS organization or employee health and wellness
  • Experience building a sales team from the ground up
  • Consistent track record of achieving personal and team goals, managing pipeline and building reliable forecast models
  • Deep knowledge of corporate HR and Wellness programs (key contacts at large organizations is a huge plus)
  • Experience working with PEO, selling (or buying) health insurance and wellness programs a plus.
  • Expertise in Salesforce and other sales technologies
