Director of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships

Job description

We are looking for an exceptional Director of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships to be part of our mission and add value to our processes. This position directly reports to Enervee's Chief Services Officer. If you are motivated to make a real impact on people’s lives and our planet, we would love to hear from you!  

 

How You Can Make An Impact

As our new Director of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships, you will:

  • Identify and explore new business and growth opportunities for Enervee's platform and services
  • Develop proposals and pitches to enhance existing relationships as well as to drive incremental revenues and margins
  • Build relationships with partner executives and any operational stakeholders required to close and maintain agreements
  • Drive closing and negotiation of new partner agreements including commercial terms
  • Actively manage our existing partnerships with retailers, manufacturers and advertisers
  • Manage Business Development initiatives among internal stakeholders, collaborate with Sales, Customer Success and Product department to identify opportunities
  • Create regular reporting and analysis for internal stakeholders, explain results and give recommendations
  • Become an expert in the company’s products and services and where they sit within the larger ecosystem
  • Communicate professionally and at multiple levels within the partner’s organization; anticipate needs and correspond proactively

Who You Are

You are a Director of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships who is passionate about saving energy and having a positive impact on the environment.

  • Growth mindset and capability to learn quickly, especially in the eco-system of energy efficiency and electrification
  • You have a track record of retaining and enhancing partner relationship over multiple years
  • You have excellent business acumen, entrepreneurial skill set, MBA is a plus
  • Team player that thrives on diversity, stepping up to big challenges and getting outside your comfort zone

What you bring to the team

  • 5+ years’ experience in business development and managing partnerships in electronic or appliances in retail space
  • Advanced knowledge in and success with negotiation of partner agreements including expertise in commercial and legal terms
  • You thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and have the ability to multi-task across many partners and competing priorities
  • Highly successful in building trust with multiple stakeholders, including senior management, to ensure we are kept in the loop on what matters most to them and are positioned well for success
  • You are proficient with Trello, Looker, Google Apps and also Mac-savvy
  • Bonus point! If you possess understanding and experience with digital marketing, e-commerce and web analytics
